After an explosive clash on Fox News Thursday night, Geraldo Rivera took his spat with Dan Bongino to Twitter, declaring the pro-Trump pundit "full of shit" regarding the Covid numbers in Florida.
During one of their regular appearances on Hannity, Rivera claimed Florida saw 17,000 new infections on Wednesday. Bongino disputed those numbers, noting he lives in Florida.
Bongino was wrong, Rivera was right.
Then this happened:
BONGINO: Geraldo, it's not my fault you never know what you're talking about!
RIVERA: Oh you are so full of crap! You are so full of crap!
BONGINO: It's not my fault you never research anything before you come on the air.
RIVERA: You are so full of it! That's why I hate coming on with you, because you are such a cheap shot artist.
Rivera went on to ask if Bongino wanted to bet $1,000 on the numbers. Bongino called him a "dunce."
Rivera took to Twitter on Friday to confirm his numbers. "I was right," he said, before demanding $1,000 from his Fox News colleague.
Tuesday #Florida suffered over 17,000 new Covid cases; on Wednesday another 17,000 new cases. I was right. @dbongino-as usual-was full of shit. And he owes me a $1000. Speaking of bullshit , popular #GovRonDeSantis better stop gaslighting & pay attention to his afflicted state.

Rivera was right, we can confirm: Florida had 17,629 new Covid cases on Tuesday, and 17,757 cases on Wednesday.

I wonder if Ron DeSantis presidential dreams will go down the drain because of his mishandling of this latest covid surge in Florida, or do Floridians appreciate the fact that they lead the nation in new cases.
The newest poll numbers for DeSantis are bad and it's all about his handling of the pandemic.
You mean non-handling of the pandemic.
By the time for his nomination comes around in 2024 this surge will be a distant memory.
Only so much a governor can do. Can't mandate any more lockdowns, or make masks mandatory, let alone shots. The people won't put up with it.
The public will remember that Biden bungled the Covid recovery and caused over 200,000 deaths in a rash of stupid and inept decisions /s
But all of the relatives that have been lost to COVID, in Florida, because of DeSantis's refusal to take action, will not be.
And he is doing none.
On the vaccines, you are correct. The rest is just right wing bullshit.
But you must also remember that he is enacting policies and laws preventing private companies from protecting their own employees and customers.
How many COVID deaths under Trump, and how many are you blaming him for? Currently COVID is primarily in 5, republican run, states. States that refuse to take the same actions most of the others did.
The families of the dead won't likely forget. The long haulers won't forget.
He seems to be doing as much as he can to prolong the suffering. That doesn't seem wise.
It may be taken out of governmental hands as insurance companies are set to charge non-vacced people more. They seem to also want to charge some companies more that don't have manditory mask/vaxx plans in place as well. They haven't yet, but I'm hearing rumblings around the edges so it's most likely coming.
