THE UNITED KINGDOM has claimed Vladimir Putin could "possibly" use chemical weapons as the United Nations issues a "bone-chilling" warning about Russian nuclear forces.

Russia could escalate efforts in Ukraine by turning towards chemical, biological and nuclear weapons, the West has warned. Vladimir Putin's troops have spent the last 20 days stationed in Ukraine in what the Kremlin has described as a "special military operation".

Russian forces have been spotted attacking civilian locations and have even launched an airstrike on a maternity ward at a hospital in the city of Mariupol.

However, in an intelligence update, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has claimed Russia could be planning to use chemical or biological weapons in yet another 'false-flag' operation.

The MoD said on Twitter: "Russian accusations that Ukraine intends to use chemical and biological weapons continue.

"We have seen no evidence to support these accusations.

UK claims Putin could 'possibly' use chemical weapons as UN issues 'bone-chilling' warning

"Russia could possibly be planning to use chemical or biological weapons in a 'false-flag' operation.

"Such an operation could take the form of a faked attack, a staged 'discovery' of agents or munitions or fabricated evidence of alleged Ukrainian planning to use such weapons.

"Intelligence suggests Russia likely intended to use 'false-flag' operations to justify their initial invasion of Ukraine on February 24.

"A 'false-flag' attack would almost certainly be accompanied by extensive disinformation to complicate attribution."

However, the UK isn't the only nation in the West which has warned Russia could use chemical weapons.

Jen Psaki, Joe Biden's White House Press Secretary, told reporters yesterday: "There's no question: if Russia were to decide to use chemical weapons, there would be a severe reaction from the global community."

Other officials even suggest there is a growing prospect of nuclear conflict.

United Nations secretary-general Antonio Guterres said: "Raising the alert of Russian nuclear forces is a bone-chilling development.

"The prospect of nuclear conflict, once unthinkable, is now back within the realm of possibility."

He added: "It's time to stop the horror unleashed on the people of Ukraine and get on the path of diplomacy and peace."

Russian forces attacked Europe's largest nuclear power plant on March 4.

However, the Zaporizhzhia site did not release any radioactive material in the attack, a watchdog confirmed.

Yes, Putin could order the use of chemical weapons.

But the question remains as to whether the Russian Military Command would carry out the order.

Or would they 'retire' Putin in order to preserve their nation, their children and their future.  Could well be that the future of the Russian people does not include Putin.

Navalny for president.

Yes, Putin could order the use of chemical weapons.

Could, would, should, but will he? Or is this just another Biden over heating moment trying to keep attention on Russia/Ukraine while things here go even further to shit.

But the question remains as to whether the Russian Military Command would carry out the order.

They have carried out all of his other orders; so why wouldn't they carry out this one?

Or would they 'retire' Putin in order to preserve their nation, their children and their future.  Could well be that the future of the Russian people does not include Putin.

So you think we would go after Russia militarily for the use of chemical weapons in Ukraine? Which would start a very nuclear WWIII and end the planet. I guess that depends on the human fuck up machine in the White House. Given that Assad in Syria has used chemical weapons against rebel factions that we are backing; and Obama, Trump, and Biden have all left him standing because it would bring US forces into direct conflict with Russian forces. I would guess Biden would scream to the world; the UN; and then nothing happens.  If you believe all of the media reports Putin is shelling entire cities full of nothing but innocent civilians to death. Yet we still aren't sending in the cavalry.

Navalny for president.

Wish for that all you want. Follow the succession trend of Russian leaders since the fall of the Soviet Union. They have gone from pro Western and economic reform; to harder and harder pro Russian fascists that want to control everything. What will follow Putin will probably make everyone want him back.

I wouldn't put it past them to use chemical weapons-- even on civilian populations.

And BTW, the other thing they are already doing are cyber-attacks.

Which could kill as many people as chemical  when they starting shutting down critical infra-structure.

Ever think that planting the idea that Putin might use chemical weapons could be a false flag meant to plant the suggestion in everyone's mind to blame Putin when the planter of the false flag is who actually does it?  After all, nobody is beyond suspicion these days of misinformation and disinformation, especially those who cast suspicion upon others.
