Confidant says Trump's health might be too poor to run for president again - The Hill
I think for him, everything will depend on his health at that time. If he still has energy and strength like he does.

Story at a glance

  • Former President Trump's diet and age could prove to be pivotal factors determining whether he runs in 2024.
  • The president of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and an early supporter to the former president, told the outlet he's unsure if Trump's health will permit another run.
  • "You know the guy does not eat well, you know, and it's amazing the energy that he has," Graham said.

Former President Trump's diet and age could prove to be pivotal factors determining whether he runs in 2024, Rev. Franklin Graham told Axios on HBO.

The president of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and an early supporter to the former president, told the outlet he's unsure if Trump's health will permit another campaign.

"I think for him, everything will depend on his health at that time. If he still has energy and strength like he does. I don't," Graham said.

"You know the guy does not eat well, you know, and it's amazing the energy that he has," Graham added.

Graham praised Trump's term of office following the former president's November election loss to President Biden. Graham posted ina statement on Facebook in December that he was "grateful to God" for Trump's four years.

"He gave us a president who protected our religious liberties; grateful for a president who defended the lives of the unborn, standing publicly against abortion and the bloody smear it has made on our nation; grateful for a president who nominated conservative judges to the Supreme Court and to our federal courts," Graham wrote.

"President Trump will go down in history as one of the great presidents of our nation, bringing peace and prosperity to millions here in the U.S. and around the world," Graham added.

Still, the former president's reported weight loss might pave the way for another campaign, Graham told Axios.

"He's lost weight, fifteen pounds, Maybe. So he might be in good health and in good shape. I don't know."

Graham additionally addressed vaccine hesitancy, saying he wants "people to know that COVID-19 can kill you."

"But we have a vaccine out there that could possibly save your life. And if you wait, it could be too late."

The former president, who has yet to formally announce whether he will seek another term, will be 78 years old in 2024.

Graham's evangelistic grifter association thinks Trump may not be healthy enough for another run?

Doesn't matter what Graham thinks, if Putin goes down the MAGA and all the baggage that clung to it will be seeking the perpetual, "First Freight Out."

It took us less than a year to see bumbling Joe was not qualified to come out of his basement by himself much less be the president.  As for Trump he taught us he was an asshole going in and an asshole coming out of the Whitehouse.  While it seems Trump thought he was too smart to listen to any advisor he had it seems like all Joe does is listen to the left wingnuts whispering in his ear because he is unable to think on his own, that includes when it is time to change his depends.

Unfortunately good people are declining to jump into the quagmire that our political system is becoming.  That leaves us with candidates that seem more interested in cable news soundbites than taking care of the people, especially when it comes to any type of compromise.  We are caught in the middle trying to determine and vote for the lesser of two evils.

But back to the topic at hand.  I know nothing about Doc or any Democrat wannabe.  Sarah had the worst job in the world.  Trying to make your boss look good when everyone in the room is looking for the gottcha moment.  She was not too good at the spin(lie) just like the current White house spokesperson is sucky at it.  I don't think that says alot about their qualifications to govern though, only that they are not good at putting lipstick on a pig.

Palin could steal gop hearts. If the gop had any.

Conservatives have proven that their candidates can be the worst humans on the planet when it comes to morals and ethics, but as long as the candidate sings the praises of the white evangelical conservative Christians and talks tough about overturning Roe, implies support for keeping America white with harsher border control laws and a tougher legal immigration process, and regularly bashes liberals, Democrats, the lgtbq community and keeps telling their right wing Christian base that they're the victims, they're the ones being abused, they're the ones being discriminated against despite all the evidence, then the candidate can cheat on their spouses, be accused of sexual assault, be accused of rape, be accused of pedophilia, be a complete dunce, a serial liar, abuse their power, be a tax cheat, have multiple divorces or even pay off porn stars they've slept with to keep them quiet during the political campaign.

There's really no moral bottom they won't allow if that candidate is willing to champion their perceived religious and ideological cause. Two quotes come to mind when thinking about their position, "The ends justify the means" and "All's fair in love and war", and for many religious conservatives, they see this as war. It's the rest of us who become victims of their imaginary fantasy battle between supposed "good and evil" by their choice to elect completely incompetent and irrational nut-ball candidates like MTG, Ted Cruz, Mo Brooks, Madison Cawthorn, Louie Gohmert and Lauren Boebert. For conservatives, taking another look at Palin is a no brainer, literally...
