Former President Trump's diet and age could prove to be pivotal factors determining whether he runs in 2024, Rev. Franklin Graham told Axios on HBO.
The president of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and an early supporter to the former president, told the outlet he's unsure if Trump's health will permit another campaign.
"I think for him, everything will depend on his health at that time. If he still has energy and strength like he does. I don't," Graham said.
"You know the guy does not eat well, you know, and it's amazing the energy that he has," Graham added.
Graham praised Trump's term of office following the former president's November election loss to President Biden. Graham posted ina statement on Facebook in December that he was "grateful to God" for Trump's four years.
"He gave us a president who protected our religious liberties; grateful for a president who defended the lives of the unborn, standing publicly against abortion and the bloody smear it has made on our nation; grateful for a president who nominated conservative judges to the Supreme Court and to our federal courts," Graham wrote.
"President Trump will go down in history as one of the great presidents of our nation, bringing peace and prosperity to millions here in the U.S. and around the world," Graham added.
Still, the former president's reported weight loss might pave the way for another campaign, Graham told Axios.
"He's lost weight, fifteen pounds, Maybe. So he might be in good health and in good shape. I don't know."
Graham additionally addressed vaccine hesitancy, saying he wants "people to know that COVID-19 can kill you."
"But we have a vaccine out there that could possibly save your life. And if you wait, it could be too late."
The former president, who has yet to formally announce whether he will seek another term, will be 78 years old in 2024.

Get you tickets now for Trumpo's Farewell Rally Tour!
"If he still has energy and strength like he does."
I believe that 'energy and alleged strength' are manufactured or prescribed or illegal. He is a big fat pig who must be in poor health.
Which is why he drives his golf cart onto the green. He probably starts wheezing as soon as he steps out of the cart
The big fat pig doesn't do much waddling anywhere. Big fat pig!
The true reason he chose not to walk to the Capitol with his followers. Laziness.
Graham's evangelistic grifter association thinks Trump may not be healthy enough for another run?
Doesn't matter what Graham thinks, if Putin goes down the MAGA and all the baggage that clung to it will be seeking the perpetual, "First Freight Out."
This might be the only way to get Trump sycophants to seek another leader.
Here in Ohio, we got J. D. Vance. He claims he has the creds. He's trumpier than the Trump. He is in the wings. Even sports a beard and claims the Mexicans almost killed his mother. Not much more the GOPERS could want, right?
Trumpier than Trump? That translates (to me) into he is an extremely malignant narcissist and pathological liar who would throw anyone under the bus if he thinks it will help him in some way.
We got J.D. Vance.
Well, don't forget DeSantis. Single handedly responsible for the unnecessary deaths of many Floridians with his anti-COVID protection laws.
He's 75 now, with a June birthday he'll be 78 on election day in 24. I hope that's enough for him to not run.
Why? You think he can't handle the job?
Not what I mean. I just don't want him to run and I hope his being 78 will convince him not to bother.
After seeing him in office for 4 years, we KNOW he can't handle the job. "Executive time" my ass.
It took us less than a year to see bumbling Joe was not qualified to come out of his basement by himself much less be the president. As for Trump he taught us he was an asshole going in and an asshole coming out of the Whitehouse. While it seems Trump thought he was too smart to listen to any advisor he had it seems like all Joe does is listen to the left wingnuts whispering in his ear because he is unable to think on his own, that includes when it is time to change his depends.
CNN and MSNBC disagree. They are swirling around the toilet and the only thing stopping them from going down is the idea that they will have 4 more years of Donald bashing to keep the TDS driven morons watching their mindless drivel..
As devoutly religious as Donald Trump is, you’d think that God would grant him an extra decade of good health.
Butt, his doctor said he could live forever....
He is too old and not what he was when he was elected
Okay. Just what was he when he was----------elected----------whatever?
He was the healthiest candidate; no one has ever been healthier than Donald Trump.
The early signs of truly monumental levels of bullshit to come.
I'd love to know just 'what he was' then too.
LOL!
He wasn't what he was when he was elected either.
LOL.
Cutaway to Desantis and Cruz pacing in the wings...
Just waiting for the news....
Desantis and Abbott.
We have a mumbling idiot in the WH but lets run with this unfounded bullshit (again).
No, the mumbling idiot laughingstock waddled out of the White House on 1/20/21.
Just give us some good candidates to choose from PLEASE. Stop sending assholes and clowns.
Unfortunately good people are declining to jump into the quagmire that our political system is becoming. That leaves us with candidates that seem more interested in cable news soundbites than taking care of the people, especially when it comes to any type of compromise. We are caught in the middle trying to determine and vote for the lesser of two evils.
No kidding. The republican governor's primary in Arkansas consist of a former White House Liar in Chief and a afternoon drive time far right conservative commentator. Neither are qualified in my opinion
To be honest I am not that familiar with who is running for either party in Arkansas. Since it is a Governors race in a state where I don't live and who is governor can have no appreciable effect on my life I am happy to remain neutral with regards to an opinion.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Doc Washburn
that's quite a change from your last 2 comments you deleted. Glad you saw that your joke fell super flat
I don't recall exactly what they were but if I deleted them it is generally because I could not figure out a way to communicate what I was trying to rr the joke did not make sense as I was reading it back. It would not surprise me if even you wrote a comment and then deleted it so I am not sure why it seems important enough to you to bring it up yet ignore what I actually did post.
But back to the topic at hand. I know nothing about Doc or any Democrat wannabe. Sarah had the worst job in the world. Trying to make your boss look good when everyone in the room is looking for the gottcha moment. She was not too good at the spin(lie) just like the current White house spokesperson is sucky at it. I don't think that says alot about their qualifications to govern though, only that they are not good at putting lipstick on a pig.
I didn't.
I didn't expect you to know anything about Arkansas politics. They're both a couple of morons with dangerous politics. That's all you need to know
OMG I had forgotten all about Sarah.
You poor dear!
And I should be taking your word for it?
You would be wise to do so. TG knows of what she speaks.
I would much rather formulate my own opinion if and when I choose to do so. But your comment does bring up an interesting point about how people are influenced by others (especially celebrities) and are too lazy to formulate their own opinion.
yea, yea, yea
Exactly
Definitely does not qualify as "good", but.............................she's baaack!!!
Yes, the Family Values Queen of Wasilla Bay is divorced and all of her rotten children are too...
Sarah thought her values were better than ours.
The Half Term Governor and Reality Show Star...
Palin could steal gop hearts. If the gop had any.
Conservatives have proven that their candidates can be the worst humans on the planet when it comes to morals and ethics, but as long as the candidate sings the praises of the white evangelical conservative Christians and talks tough about overturning Roe, implies support for keeping America white with harsher border control laws and a tougher legal immigration process, and regularly bashes liberals, Democrats, the lgtbq community and keeps telling their right wing Christian base that they're the victims, they're the ones being abused, they're the ones being discriminated against despite all the evidence, then the candidate can cheat on their spouses, be accused of sexual assault, be accused of rape, be accused of pedophilia, be a complete dunce, a serial liar, abuse their power, be a tax cheat, have multiple divorces or even pay off porn stars they've slept with to keep them quiet during the political campaign.
There's really no moral bottom they won't allow if that candidate is willing to champion their perceived religious and ideological cause. Two quotes come to mind when thinking about their position, "The ends justify the means" and "All's fair in love and war", and for many religious conservatives, they see this as war. It's the rest of us who become victims of their imaginary fantasy battle between supposed "good and evil" by their choice to elect completely incompetent and irrational nut-ball candidates like MTG, Ted Cruz, Mo Brooks, Madison Cawthorn, Louie Gohmert and Lauren Boebert. For conservatives, taking another look at Palin is a no brainer, literally...
And we have a certain prolific author and poster here claiming that he prefers the corrupt over the ideologue.
Sigh....the parade of assholes and clowns continue.
We also have a few prolific authors and posters that put words in other peoples mouth and just make up stuff and fill in the blanks with lies to try to promote their opinion as fact. Hey, maybe they should run for office..
That's not me but I know who you are referring to and that would include yourself regarding the latter.
Interesting, I have no idea what you are talking about. I figured since I have never authored an article it was not me you were talking about when you said "certain prolific author and poster here". My response was not talking about you specifically but it almost sounds like you have a guilty conscience about something.
yea, yea, yea
yea, yea, yea
Great lyrics from the Beatles, thanks,
How do you know it wasn't Rob Dyrdek singing the title sequence of ridiculousness.
Right up there with goo-goo g'joob
Good point. We await Tessylo’s clarification.
No, the walrus was several years more advanced than what Tessylo was repeating.
Her, Greene, and Boebert would make one hell of a freak show though.
Actually I am pretty sure you are both wrong. I am pretty sure she is quoting something I sometimes say to her when she is talking shit. [deleted]
well there went my soda all over my screen.
there went my soda all over my screen.
It’s after 5 o’clock here.
Pole dancers?
I have a new member in my fan club.
I've always been a fan, Tessylo, since joined News Talkers.
Did you ever notice that the people that seem to complain to others not to make it about them are the ones that constantly make it about themselves?
Several times I have made a vague mention of something I have seen on here, and the same one comes running as if she heard a dog whistle and claimed the same "fan club" status.
Sad, really, with the desperation for attention.
So according to Graham, donald was a great leader because he gave religious people free rein, tells them he wants abortion illegal and put conservative people on judicial benches.
These three things make him great?
It sounds to me like three points seriously wrong with politics today.
Yeah. And Helsinki......not to mention the Khashoggi thing. Remember when 'the donald' said he saved MBS's arse?
