Miss America Pageant Contestant Stands Up for the 2nd Amendment
Last night, Miss America Pageant finalist Daja Dial, Miss South Carolina, confidently articulated her support for the Second Amendment in the Q&A segment, which the judges routinely use as a liberal political litmus test to identify conservative-leaning contestants (Carrie Prejean, anyone?).Dial did not hesitate when presented with the gotcha question,Do you support a ban on military-style assault weapons? Her response:I don't. I think we need to increase education. If we teach people the proper way to use guns, then we will reduce the risk of having gun-related accidents. It starts with education.Wow, a commonsense, unapologetic response to a gun control question, especially from a black woman in the era of #BlackLivesMatter. Good for her. http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/miss-america-pageant-contestant-stands-2nd-amendment

Needless to say, Miss South Carolina did not take home the crown last night, although she place in the top seven.
