CNN's Nick Watt is in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where locals are pushing back against activists trying to get more than 400 books banned from the library — books that the library doesn't even have.
The library director has resigned and the library's insurance company dropped them.

Education is one of the most important aspects of society. This behavior will lead to illiteracy.
It seems that the village idiots showed up to get the next generation to be village idiots like they are.
A really sad commentary on the American experiment.
another rwnj solution in search of a problem.
Pretty sure that is the goal for these folks.
There is a word for "adult books" the gop wants to ban. "Literature".
Nevermind all their kids are watching real porn on their cell phones.
So are you saying "To Kill a Mockingbird" is not literature?
There are several left wing school systems that have banned that book because it triggers them and claims of racism.
That reasoning is far worse than watching a little porn.
…cite? Anecdotal at best.
Who said anything remotely like that ?
Really? I'd say you're not lying if you could name one. You don't need several.
'Armed' is the first word, yet in 6:37, with ads, I didn't see even a pitchfork - a lot of asses but no arms.
Ya, you didn't see it so it must not have happened
Well, if guns are billed as a prominent feature of a dramatic dispute, I'd expect to see a gun or two. I'm a dick like that. Seems like we're looking at baring arms.
I don't have the energy or interest to try to translate your word salad there squiggy or dick or whatever you call yourself.
"I don't have the energy or interest to try..."
You and your supporters seem to be out of proof, as well.
Since, in Idaho, everybody can conceal carry, everybody should be considered armed. Isn't that what keeps society respectful?
I guess listening to the article wasn't an option for you?
They clearly said that no one from the "Reboubt/cleanse our library group" responded to requests for an
interview, nor did any show up for the next library meeting which was now being filmed by multiple news agencies.
And the one woman who was checking out as many books as she could at one time to look for
"violations" is going national demanding the stat's AG or higher start an investigation.
Of course this is all moot for a public library, which by definition and the First Amendment, provides all sorts of books to the public and moved to a larger venue within the County Sherrif's Office.
School libraries have a little more leeway.
One can imagine that private religious libraries can be more selective.
If fascists with guns can intimidate a school board who's to say they won't storm city hall next and come after the public library? It's just a short slippery slope from there to piles of books burning in the street.
From Certainly Not News? Not even close. Have these people heard of cell phones? If I can take and post a video from my smart phone anyone can. They can ask their kids if they can't. Not one gun shown. Guess they expect everyone to take their unbiased word for it?
After listening to the "unbiased reporting" from the CNN interviewer is it any shock that they didn't? As for not showing up at the next meeting- what other news agencies came? Were they all left leaning that were eager to jump on the CNN band wagon report? Will you hold Fetterman to the same standards for refusing an interview with Sean Hannity at Fox News; or even respond to his questions? Will you hold anyone to the same standards for refusing an interview with Fox News if they are on the left?
So, you don't agree with her views? She is still entitled to them. From the sounds of it more of her kind will be moving to the area; so they had better buckle up. It was wonderful how CNN tried to tie them to Nazis that were in the area previously. Shows how unbiased their reporting really is.
This public library also has a board which is elected. Or is the left now against elections? So there is a way to handle this if they don't like how the library is being run. If enough of the town supports the library the board will be reelected.
Schools also have elected boards. So there is redress there as well.
Personally I couldn't give a rats ass. Those on both sides that want books banned can rot in the hell I don't believe in. But, that doesn't forgo their rights to free speech; and vote (if they are legally allowed to) for people they believe represent them.
One more time -
"Video: Armed Idaho Locals..."
What guns? Who had guns?
Thanks for pointing out the error in the title.
The word "Video" is not part of the title and was misleading on NT.
Again, if you listened, the librarians were too intimidated to use a cell phone or any other photographic device. In fact the Library Director resigned over this.
Well....for starters there in Idaho, who doesn't have a gun?
Light the bonfires. Let's start with the New Testament, then Encyclopedia Britannica, followed up by all of Hemingway's novels....
Yeah Buzz.....that's what there're protesting.
Stupidity on steroids!
