'Sons of Anarchy' actor charged with killing, eating ex's pet rabbit

Dimitri Diatchenko, who has had small roles in shows like Sons of Anarchy, Walker, Texas Ranger and How I Met Your Mother, was charged with killing and eating his ex-girlfriend's pet rabbit, authorities said Wednesday.
They added that Diatchenko sent his former flame grisly photos of the procedure and threatening to do the same thing to her.
The 46 year old, of North Hollywood, was charged Tuesday with felony counts of cruelty to an animal with use of a knife and making criminal threats.
He faces up to four years and eight months in prison if convicted.
Diatchenko was free on bail, and his manager declined to comment on the case.
According to Los Angeles County prosecutors, Diatchenko had been living with the woman for some time after their romantic relationship had ended.
She told Diatchenko that they should stop being roommates, prosecutors said.
On Dec. 7, while she was out of the house, Diatchenko killed the rabbit, authorities said.
"Diatchenko skinned the pet, cooked it and ate half of it while sending her step-by-step pictures of what he did" according to a statement from the district attorney's office. "When she returned the defendant allegedly told her he would do the same to her."
Born in San Francisco, Diatchenko is an actor and musician, who has worked in TV, movies and video games. He mainly has played Russians and Eastern Europeans on television. He also had a small part in the movie "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."
According to the New York Daily News , he played a Russian gangster on Sons of Anarchy and most-recently appeared on the sitcom 2 Broke Girls.

While he played in 2 episodes of "Sons of Anarchy" several years ago, I would not really title this guy as "Sons of Anarchy" actor.
When I read the title I was expecting it to be Kim Coates, the actor who plays "Tig". Those who have been regular viewers of the series would most likely agree with me as the most seriously disturbed character (but very funny).

I heard his lawyer is going to say it was a prank, that he let her rabbit go and bought rabbit meat from a butcher. Mmmm I don't think so.
