Your comment disappeared . Anyway , I'm pretty sure no one in the religious community has ever said that . I suppose you could extrapolate the history of the earth as being only 5000 years as 2 + 2 = 3 ? But there is more to the argument than that . The theory of evolution is highly simplistic . In science if they can't figure something out they tend to call it random . But maybe they are missing the point by covering it over with that broad brush .
The other thing is that Bill Nye has never been a scientist of any kind . He is merely in the entertainment industry . The sooner you realize that , the sooner you can understand his arrogant assertions .
Fair enough . Now I request you use the same skepticism when a scientist uses the term "random" . Often the phenomena described that way is just "too damn complicated" to easily get a handle on .
Without asserting that thereligionist talking at the front of the video is not being idiotic, I will say that numbers in and of themselves are man made constructs that merely symbolize reality in a way we have come to understand.
...as well...
Without asserting that the entertainer speaking at the end of the video is not being idiotic, I would also say that reality is often misunderstood, and that it is impossible to numerate such sacredness as the beauty of a flower, the turningof a deer's nose,or the tenderness of a baby's laugh.
LMAO, classic!!!!
Wonderful!
Bill Nye making another fictional point about almost nothing and throwing in the F word for emphasis . Don't bother .
2+2=5, Petey?
Vanishing comments? I commented to Petey, but it's gone.

I have no idea what this pastor said . Was it in reference to some story of a miracle ?
OK , apparently this particular pastor did say that . My bad . Do you have any idea what it was said in reference to ?
