A bizarre press conference
These funds were appropriated in 2019 under Republican leadership and the president is required to follow the law.

The press conference began with Karine Jean-Pierre talking about a lot of matters other than what most troubled the leftist media: the border policy reversal of Joe Biden. It isn't until about 8:03 of the tape that Karine the incompetent got her first question on the reports that Joe Biden is going to continue building the wall. Her answer sparked anxiety by the leftist press corps:

These funds were appropriated in 2019 under Republican leadership and the president is required to follow the law.

Then the questions focused on Joe Biden's promise to never build any wall.

Same answer.

Then questions about the Mayorkas statement:

REPORTER: "If the border wall is ineffective, why is the DHS secretary saying that it's 'necessary' to prevent unlawful entries into the United States?"

KARINE: I have not seen that."

"There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas pursuant to sections 102(a) and 102(b) of [the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996]," Mayorkas said.

Mayorkas cites ‘immediate need’ to waive regulations, build border wall in Texas as immigration surges (msn.com)

Which was an obvious contradiction to Biden's Press Secretary saying that Biden doesn't believe in the wall, he is doing it because he has to. Yet Karine just kept repeating those talking points as leftist kept asking if there wasn't a way around it. I think after today there is little doubt about the left wanting the border wide open. The real reason for this change in policy may lie in northern cities like NYC and Chicago which are rebelling against Biden's open border policy. It is after all an election year.

The last to ask a question was Fox's Peter Doocy who asked why Biden is now so concerned about the law when he challenged so many others, as in all the environmental laws Biden waived or the "Remain in Mexico Policy" that a judge ordered Biden to enforce though Biden fought it tooth & nail.

So does that make stopping construction some sort of not so legal act? Or just a temper tantrum?

Saw the interview with Biden and he was asked if he thought walls worked. He half assed smirked and said "no".

End of this embedded clip.

Well, a border wall doesn't work if you want to bring migrants in. So, he may have us there.

I bet not one liberal will claim Biden lied, either.

"The Secretary of Homeland Security has determined, pursuant to law, that it is necessary to waive certain laws, regulations, and other legal requirements in order to ensure the expeditious construction of barriers and roads in the vicinity of the international land border in Starr County, Texas," DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in the notice announcing the 10 new projects.

It's hard to imagine the amount of spittle that would be flying right now if Trump's DHS Secretary put that statement out.

You bet.

This change in policy is only for 2 reasons: Money for Ukraine and the coming election. I predict Mayorkas will only build a few miles of border wall.

Line one, He is murdering endangered species, Line 2, He is poisoning our water. line 3 he is a totalitarian dictator. and the ever popular, Fascist!

Followed by the mindless bleating about ladders, saws and tunnels......I would say it is strange that none of the liberals feel the need to point that out, but they aren't even putting in any effort to hide their hypocrisy anymore, It's more like a badge of honor now.

In August of this year

Since late July, $497,705 worth of these materials have been sold, according to GovPlanet.

A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) spokesperson told Newsweek on Sunday morning that the materials are being disposed of "in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation."

"USACE has already transferred approximately $154 million worth of the roughly $260 million of bollard panels and other materials in accordance with standard excess property disposition procedures. USACE stands ready to implement a decision regarding disposition of the remaining materials," the spokesperson wrote in a statement.

Now in October of this year.

These funds were appropriated in 2019 under Republican leadership and the president is required to follow the law.

I would ask who is fucking stupid enough to believe this, but there are ample examples to be found.
