Tis the Season
"Every time extremist Republicans in Congress bring us to the brink of a government shutdown, it threatens to stop the momentum that we built around training and around protecting customer rights."

Link to Quote: Buttigieg preemptively blames ‘extremist Republicans’ for any woes on ‘busiest travel days in US history’ (foxbusiness.com)

As we enter that rolling time of the year, which some like to refer to as the holidays, it is a time to remember what was great about traditional America. The Thanksgiving holiday in particular used to be a unifying occasion. Mixed families could get together and talk as human beings for a few hours. This year we are no longer living in the country we once knew. Let us all do the best we can to keep it special. Rule 1 of course, is to not discuss politics on Thursday.

Thus far the TSA has screened 2.4 million airport travelers this past Sunday and another 2 million on Monday which indicates that this will be another very busy travel season and certain parts of the country will experience severe weather conditions. The little transportation elf blames it all on Republicans.

Pete "Beaver Cleaver" Buttigieg

Buttigieg the other day:  "Every time extremist Republicans in Congress bring us to the brink of a government shutdown, it threatens to stop the momentum that we built around training and around protecting customer rights." So, in the tiny mind of the man who was chosen strictly because he is gay, every time pilots begin training there is a government shutdown.

In other news:

The lies and false narrative created around the death of George Floyd have now been exposed. The documentary "The Fall of Minneapolis" might just be the greatest expose of my lifetime.

A federal appeals court shocked voting rights groups on Monday with a  ruling  that only the US government, not outside groups or citizens, could sue to enforce the Voting Rights Act’s provisions.

The government recently conceded that the "gag order" placed on a former President was way to broad. It most likely will be narrowed by a panel of democrat appointed judges.

Joe Biden fumbled through a quiet 81st birthday and appropriately had a Coconut cake as his birthday cake.

Last but not least retailers are considering removing the self-checkout as many items are not scanned. The nation continues to be shocked by the new norms created by the radical left as theft has become common place.

Thats not what his sentence says.

His sentence says government shutdowns effect transportation and that is the cause of the current crisis.

Do you agree with that very cheap lie?

Buttigieg's comment is more about what could happen than what has happened. Thats what the word "threatens" means in this context.

Nope. He said every time Republicans bring us to the point of shutdown, meaning past, present and future tense.

Just admit it: It is cheap propaganda, like when he declared roads "racist."

What crisis are we talking about?

Flight delays at Thanksgiving are not a crisis.  They're a well documented annual tradition dating back at least as far as 1985.

Always a caveat? Am I ‘decent’ enough for you to accept my wishes for safe travels and a good holiday, which I unconditionally hope for us all? Jeesh…

He wants everyone to know that he "knows" ( and decides) who the "decent" people are. It has been part of his regular commentary for quite a while now.

It most likely will be narrowed by a panel of democrat appointed judges.

An ex president of the United States is under a gag order for attacking the judicial system of the United States. As long as they keep the gag order "narrow" , Trumps behavior seems to be ok with you.

As a defendant he has to be allowed to speak.

As a candidate he has to be allowed to speak.

There may be restrictions on what a lawyer says, but a private citizen is a different matter. Trump's statements are protected speech.

Does he not have the same rights as everyone else?

Former President Trump’s lead over  President Biden  in a hypothetical 2024 match-up is growing, according to a Monday poll.

The Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey, shared with The Hill, shows Trump receiving 48 percent support among respondents, Biden received 41 percent and 11 percent said they did not know or were unsure who they’d vote for.

The poll shows Trump has gained 2 percentage points since  a similar survey  was conducted in October, which placed the former president at 46 percent and Biden at 41 percent.
