You're welcome. And thank you for letting me know. Never hesitate to reach out and tell me if I forget.
What video services do you have access to? Are they international?
I can access video sites bilibili and Youku, but they are not as good as YouTube.
bilibili stops the song part way through with something I can't read, but then it can be X'd out and clicking an arrow allows the song to continue to the end, whereas Youku requires you to bear a commercial before playing what you have chosen to see and hear.
YouTube is probably the only web site I really miss. There are good enough alternatives for everything else.
whereas Youku requires you to bear a commercial before playing what you have chosen to see and hear.
Youtube is trying to do the same thing or pay for ad free. Sometimes the commercials are over 2 minutes long when my ad-blocker fails. I just close the screen and look for another way to escape ads that long or just put the ad on mute and do Sudoku puzzles or go to the kitchen and fix a cup of tea while the ad plays.
I haven't watched ads for years. I either pay for streaming or don't watch TV at all. I never really liked or watched much TV because I had a lot of records and books. Now I have hundreds of books on kindle and a lot of CDs and mp3s and a few computer games and Newstalkers when I need to communicate with people. Life is pretty good!
The greatest drummer of all time was my very good friend of almost 40 years, Hal Blaine, who passed away in March 2019, just one month after his 90th birthday (his birthday party was a blast and among the guests was the Rolling Stones' drummer, Charlie Watts, and Wing's first drummer, Denny Seiwell). Hal was the drummer on, among thousand of other records, 6 Grammy Records of the Year in a row plus a 7th a few years after. Hal was the drummer for many of Phil Spector's biggest hits, the drummer on the Beach Boys records, the Mamas and Papas records, many of Elvis Presley's biggest hits, Simon and Garfunkel, Frank Sinatra and Nancy Sinatra, the Carpenters, John Denver, Petula Clark, the Association, etc., etc., etc. When the famous jazz drummer/producer, Buddy Rich, produced his own daughter's album, he hired Hal to play the drums.
According to the Billboard charts, Hal performed on at least 150 U.S. Top Ten hits of which 40 went to Number One.
Hal was included in the first group of sidemen inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2018 he finally received a long overdue Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
As Art Garfunkel wrote: "If music in the second half of the 20th century were the Empire State Building, Hal Blaine would be the ground floor."
There may never have been anyone who had more fun making music than Louis Prima and Sam Butera. Their lounge shows were legendary in 50's Vegas.
(you tube comment) Amazing , Sam butera version of this song will be my 1# top song till my grave. I’m 22 and I already made up my mind that I will cherish this song forever
You're Nobody Til Somebody Loves You - Sam Butera and the Witnesses
If we are going to have some preacher and spiritual music let's add Elmer Gantry.
Good one. I have a 4 CD collection of the Sons of the Pioneers. There are several old time gospel songs that I remember singing in my grandmother's church when I was child.
I don't know if you're aware of this but Eric Clapton has done some spirituals and here is one of them.
I did not know. I rarely listen to spirituals these days because it brings back such bittersweet memories of the people in my life that have walked on. But I will try to remember to add Clapton to my list when I need to take a trip down memory lane.
I think I still have a Chuckwagon Gang CD in my collection.
What a world, the horizon's Coming like a hell-bent killing machine Can't afford to be the goddamn wreckage Burn it all again at a million degrees Calling all the adamant upper-level Undefeated counterfeit cunts with a reason to fear Throw away all the meaningless shit that's clinging The enemy is here, I said stop
Give it to three I'm gonna show you how to do it if you know what I mean One by one against, give me the name All you shiny pretty never-wills ruined the game You hold all the keys, so the chains shouldn't hold you I know you heard me, I fucking told you
Old does not mean dead, new does not mean best No hard feelings, I'm tired of being right about everything I've said Yours does not mean mine, kill does not mean die We are not your kind No excuses, I challenge you to all out fucking life
Drop that shit and put it on a pedestal Children are afraid of the gods Raise your hands and show me what's impossible That makes us even, never tell me the odds What a bore, I'm getting stuck in a metaphor I don't wanna go to sleep I need a breakdown quick in negotiations Get it all together and remember to seethe, stop
Give it to three I'm gonna show you how to do it if you know what I mean Drive-by violence, more of the same I can see where you're going, and I'm really ashamed Do you think when you act or just act like you're thinking? I gotta know now, you better tell me
Old does not mean dead, new does not mean best No hard feelings, I'm tired of being right about everything I've said Yours does not mean mine, kill does not mean die We are not your kind I challenge you to all out life
We are gathered here today to get it right Repeat after me "I will not celebrate mediocrity I will not worship empty shells I will not listen to worthless noises I will not subject myself to selected, predictable choices My time, my attention My quality should not be bought and sold For convenience's sake, ever"
We are not your kind We are not your kind We are not your kind We are not your kind We are not your kind We are not your kind We are not your kind We are not your kind
Old does not mean dead (dead), new does not mean best (best) No hard feelings, I'm tired of being right about everything I've said Yours does not mean mine (mine), kill does not mean die (die) Pay attention, it's gonna be a while till I really feel alright Old does not mean dead (dead), new does not mean best (best) No hard feelings, I'm tired of being right about everything I've said Yours does not mean mine (mine), kill does not mean die (die) We are not your kind No excuses, I challenge you to all out fucking life
All out life
I challenge you to all out fucking life, yeah Live, live, live, life
Bury all your secrets in my skin Come away with innocence, and leave me with my sins The air around me still feels like a cage And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage again
So, if you love me, let me go And run away before I know My heart is just too dark to care I can't destroy what isn't there Deliver me into my fate If I'm alone I cannot hate I don't deserve to have you Ooh, my smile was taken long ago If I can change I hope I never know
I still press your letters to my lips And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss I couldn't face a life without your light (without your light) But all of that was ripped apart when you refused to fight
So, save your breath, I will not hear I think I made it very clear You couldn't hate enough to love Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you weren't my friend Then I could hurt you in the end I never claimed to be a saint Ooh, my own was banished long ago It took the death of hope to let you go
Oh, oh
So, break yourself against my stones And spit your pity in my soul You never needed any help You sold me out to save yourself And I won't listen to your shame You ran away, you're all the same Angels lie to keep control Ooh, my love was punished long ago If you still care, don't ever let me know If you still care, don't ever let me know

Recently I've preferred listening to songs sung by Andrea Bocelli and the music of Beethoven. Currently popular music is of no interest to me.
Sometimes you just have to rock out.
This tune is from 1970. It sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday.
Buzz, the first video I posted was "Keep Your Hands to Yourself"
This one is Mark Collie - "In Time"

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly -The Danish National Symphony Orchestra (Live)
F@#$%÷<& beautiful....
My favorite rock drummer ... the GOAT (IMO).
In mine as well.
Although...
Collins is underrated as a drummer.
Peart was an awesome lyricist as well.

Loving Her Was Easier - Kris Kristofferson
Coming like a hell-bent killing machine
Can't afford to be the goddamn wreckage
Burn it all again at a million degrees
Calling all the adamant upper-level
Undefeated counterfeit cunts with a reason to fear
Throw away all the meaningless shit that's clinging
The enemy is here, I said stop
I'm gonna show you how to do it if you know what I mean
One by one against, give me the name
All you shiny pretty never-wills ruined the game
You hold all the keys, so the chains shouldn't hold you
I know you heard me, I fucking told you
No hard feelings, I'm tired of being right about everything I've said
Yours does not mean mine, kill does not mean die
We are not your kind
No excuses, I challenge you to all out fucking life
Children are afraid of the gods
Raise your hands and show me what's impossible
That makes us even, never tell me the odds
What a bore, I'm getting stuck in a metaphor
I don't wanna go to sleep
I need a breakdown quick in negotiations
Get it all together and remember to seethe, stop
I'm gonna show you how to do it if you know what I mean
Drive-by violence, more of the same
I can see where you're going, and I'm really ashamed
Do you think when you act or just act like you're thinking?
I gotta know now, you better tell me
No hard feelings, I'm tired of being right about everything I've said
Yours does not mean mine, kill does not mean die

We are not your kind
We are not your kind

We are not your kind
No hard feelings, I'm tired of being right about everything I've said
Yours does not mean mine (mine), kill does not mean die (die)
Pay attention, it's gonna be a while till I really feel alright
Old does not mean dead (dead), new does not mean best (best)
No hard feelings, I'm tired of being right about everything I've said
Yours does not mean mine (mine), kill does not mean die (die)
We are not your kind
No excuses, I challenge you to all out fucking life
Live, live, live, life
Just a side note, the song is about NOT committing suicide.
I enjoy Slipknot's Snuff
Come away with innocence, and leave me with my sins
The air around me still feels like a cage
And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage again
And run away before I know
My heart is just too dark to care
I can't destroy what isn't there
Deliver me into my fate
If I'm alone I cannot hate
I don't deserve to have you
Ooh, my smile was taken long ago
If I can change I hope I never know
And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss
I couldn't face a life without your light (without your light)
But all of that was ripped apart when you refused to fight
I think I made it very clear
You couldn't hate enough to love

If you still care, don't ever let me know
Agreed! Once you start getting into the lyrics, their stuff is really well written.
And with the genre many people won't bother. I find the same with the band, Disturbed.
Morning...
For me it is still Albatross by Fleetwood Mac..
Very soothing and relaxing and if more people played it while driving there would be less road rage and could even be less War..😊
I like some new age stuff. In particular Endless Journey by Kitaro off his Towards The West album. Second choice is Vangelis' Antarctica.
Yuja Wang is the best thing to come out of China. I found this video very interesting as I enjoy almost all genres of music.
Yuja Wang and
