The "race lady" condemns "White Christians."

The "race lady" condemns "White Christians."
"It is religion," she said. "And I think what we have to actually confront – and this is what the Democrats are going to face – is this is now what White evangelicalism is. It is Christian nationalism. That’s the name of it, right?"

The woman who is constantly calling everyone a "racist" took aim at Iowans after Trump's historic win. Arguably a white hating racist, she rambled on with her non stop hate:

She then reiterated her earlier rhetoric from her talk with Jones that "White evangelical Christians of a certain mindset" think "that they own this country, that immigrants, that Brown people, that Hindus like Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife are illegitimate Americans. They are less legitimate Americans than they are."

Joy Reid accuses White Christian Iowans of wanting to have people of color 'bow down' to them (msn.com)

Normally private citizens are protected from libel or defamation, but it doesn't apply to public figures. Long ago there was a fear that news organizations might become intimidated. Clearly, we are on the opposite end of that spectrum. However, in this case, Ms Reid has attacked private individuals. Lots of them. The little people she doesn't like. Reid also claimed that the reason Nikki Haley finished third was because of her race, despite the fact that Ron DeSantis went all out in Iowa.

"Joy Reid's comments on white evangelicalism and Christian nationalism stirred a heated debate among Facebook users, with opinions ranging from criticism to outright calls for her dismissal.

One user wrote, "You know Joy, there's no more astonishing racist, lying hypocrite and propagandist than you on broadcast TV. Congratulations to Trump for winning, and congratulations to you as the biggest racist Christ-hating hypocrite in America."

Internet wants Joy Reid fired as she claims 'White Christian' Iowa Trump voters want people of color to 'bow down' before them (msn.com)

I would say that is a very fair assessment.

The left's favorite race baiter ended the hate filled "news show" with:

“They’re not trying to convince people and win people over through politics. What they’re saying is, ‘We own this country, and everyone will bow down to us.’”

The reason Ms Reid is in focus today is because of her devoted followers.

One seized on Nikki Haley's defense of America and the other exercising hypocrisy.

No matter how they spin it, they're racists.  No different than the KKK.  (Coincidently, bottom feeders like Reid and the KKK are the product of Democrats.)

Good to see you admit you support racism.

Now, now, you have to understand they have been indoctrinated that blacks cannot be racist.

To them, simply making the claim that many of them are makes you the racist.

Why is everyone always picking on white people ?

It's not white people, Rachal Maddow is an example of acceptable white people.  It's white, Christian people that she despises.

Who said everyone was?  Joy is an example of one that does 95% of the time and she has a daily TV show to spew her racism.  There are certainly others.  Is some racism OK?

Really? "the internet" wants her fired?  or some right wing posters on the internet want her fired?

the article linked contains four anonymous examples of social media postings. Is that the internet?

I would stipulate that a lot of white nationalist Christians want her fired though.

You would think that if it were so prevalent in this country, he would have posted something right away.....

It's been almost an hour and nada for reputable sources so he probably manipulated his question to get the answer he wanted on his chat GTP app.

Not a resource thinking people would use to support their argument.

I will get back to you when things get easier.

by the way, your argument about GPT chat being a poor source is completely silly.

So people know if they write about certain subjects that people will by the books.  Big Woop.  They count on folks that are racist in their own right to buy their books that call others the problem instead of getting them to look at themselves.

Yes, you've proven there's a market among progressives for books about it.  But no one would doubt that since  it combines the left's  three biggest boogeymen into one big conspiracy.

Never mind Trumpism or MAGA, the supposed embodiment of it, is primarily a movement of the white working class (Obama voters) and increasing numbers of working class minorities as white professionals become democrats. Considering half your seeds are from former Bush supporting Neo-cons, you'd think you'd be aware of that.  So unless you believe the Obama coalition was heavily weighted  with  white Christian nationalists, the argument makes no sense.

There are 335 million people in this country. Multiple people can be found who  believe anything. So, yes, there are undoubtedly "white Christian nationalists" as well as Mexican  satanic nationalists as and probably even a handful of Polish Muslim  nationalists.  But the idea that "White Christian nationalists" are engaged in some conspiracy that threatens to   control the country is a phantom menace designed to keep progressives agitated.

"White Christian Nationalists" intend to become the ruling body in this country. Whether they can realistically get there or not is not the point. Plus, as in most things, there are multiple grades and layers involved with this ideology. Joy Reid believes that white Christian nationalists in Iowa voted for Trump. I doubt that can be proven either way since few people will admit to being white Christian nationalists.

Like I said earlier, the person who wrote this article says quite regularly that the "left" is communist and degenerate. Is he right?

White Christian Nationalism   is a term used to describe a political ideology that combines   white supremacy ,   Christian fundamentalism , and   nationalism . It is a belief system that asserts that the United States was founded as a Christian nation and that its laws and institutions should reflect Protestant Christian values.   Adherents of this ideology believe that white Christians are under threat from non-white, non-Christian, and immigrant populations and that they must take action to protect their way of life 1 2 3 4 .

According to Yale sociologist Philip Gorski, white Christian nationalism in the United States can be traced back to the late 1600s.   It has been amplified during periods of war, heightened immigration, or economic instability 1 .   White Christian nationalists see themselves as a “moral majority,” who only need to be mobilized to thwart the “Luciferian” agenda of globalism, socialism, secularism, rampant crime, and more 4 .

It is important to note that white Christian nationalism is not the same as being a patriotic Christian.   Patriotism is an adherence to the ideals of the United States, while nationalism is loyalty to one’s tribe and not the country 1 .

It is essential to engage in open dialogue, education, and empathy to foster understanding and combat prejudice. Let’s strive for a more inclusive and compassionate society. 🌟

For some reason I decided to turn on the streaming service TUBI this morning and looked under the heading "Live Tv". In that section they offer streams of local news stations around the country. I clicked on St. Louis, and on the local morning news show there they were talking about 3000 students getting ready to walk out of class today in a protest. The protest was over the local school boards decision to end black history as an elective course in the high school.  The student protesters appeared to be mostly white, although I doubt if an all white school district would have offered a black history course to begin with.

For some reason such topics are heating up. Nikki Haley's preposterous insistence in recent weeks of disputing or downplaying known facts about racism in America is on everyones mind lately as a good example of conservative denial of historical reality. maybe that was irking Joy Reid the other night.

Who could ever have thought that would he the inevitable result? You’d think obsessing about race and teaching kids that it’s the most important thing about them would make race less important…

For anyone who really cares about understanding racism in the present in other countries.

It is probably difficult, if not impossible, to find a country that is not currently practicing racism against the "others" in some form.

Racism by country - Wikipedia

The article lists the state of   race relations   and   racism   in a number of countries .

Various forms of racism are practiced in most countries on Earth. [1]   In individual countries, the forms of racism which are practiced may be motivated by historic, cultural, religious, economic or demographic reasons. Wars created sentiments of ultra-nationalism, ethnic pride and racism.

Racism is widely condemned throughout the world, with 88 states being signatories of the   International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination   as of 7 March 2013. [2]

This is very disturbing,

Understanding the hardwiring of our species is very important.

The society we are raised in only tries to add to the list of prejudices we were born with.

Then add in the various toxic personality traits that run rampant through a significant number of our species that seek to control and destroy everyone and everything in existence.

Disturbing?

We have to protect our government and our society, not ones that we dont live in.

My experience is that people who always bring up other countries when we talk about racism are either just kicking the can down the road or making excuses.

In addition, white nationalists and Christian nationalists regularly cite the "founding fathers" as the source of their beliefs about Christian nationalism (even though that approach is wrong).  So it is something unique, in that sense, to America.

A question has been posed in a puzzled whisper in many of the nation’s living rooms and newsrooms ever since Donald J. Trump’s triumph in this month’s presidential election: What, exactly, is white nationalism?

Self-proclaimed white nationalists have happily embraced Mr. Trump’s victory and, particularly, his choice of Stephen K. Bannon as chief strategist, as a win for their agenda. A barrage of groups that fight discrimination and hate speech have, in turn, criticized Mr. Bannon’s appointment, warning that his embrace of the “alt-right” movement was little more than an attempt to rebrand racism and white nationalism into something palatable enough for mass consumption.

And much of the rest of the country has been left to wonder what this unfamiliar term actually means.

While white nationalism certainly overlaps with white supremacy and racism, many political scientists say it is a distinct phenomenon — one that was a powerful but often-unseen force during the presidential election and will most likely remain a potent factor in American and European politics in coming years.

Eric Kaufmann, a professor of politics at Birkbeck University in London, has spent years studying the ways that ethnicity intersects with politics. While most researchers in that field focus on ethnic minorities, Professor Kaufmann does the opposite: He studies the behavior of ethnic majorities, particularly whites in the United States and Britain.

White nationalism, he said, is the belief that national identity should be built around white ethnicity, and that white people should therefore maintain both a demographic majority and dominance of the nation’s culture and public life.

So, like white supremacy, white nationalism places the interests of white people over those of other racial groups. White supremacists and white nationalists both believe that racial discrimination should be incorporated into law and policy.

Some will see the distinction between white nationalism and white supremacy as a semantic sleight of hand. But although many white supremacists are also white nationalists, and vice versa, Professor Kaufmann says the terms are not synonyms: White supremacy is based on a racist belief that white people are innately superior to people of other races; white nationalism is about maintaining political and economic dominance, not just a numerical majority or cultural hegemony.

For a long time, he said, white nationalism was less an ideology than the default presumption of American life. Until quite recently, white Americans could easily see the nation as essentially an extension of their own ethnic group.

But the country’s changing demographics, the civil rights movement and a push for multiculturalism in many quarters mean that white Americans are now confronting the prospect of a nation that is no longer built solely around their own identity. For many white people, of course, the growing diversity is something to celebrate. But for others it is a source of stress. The white nationalist movement has drawn support from that latter group. Its supporters argue that the United States should protect its white majority by sharply limiting immigration, and perhaps even by compelling nonwhite citizens to leave.
