Queen of the Swamp
"While Nikki has been soundly rejected throughout the rest of America, she was just crowned Queen of the Swamp by the lobbyists and DC insiders that want to protect the failed status quo. The swamp has claimed their queen," Trump Campaign press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said.

Link to quote: Nikki Haley beats Donald Trump in Washington DC for first primary victory (bbc.com)

It finally happened. Nikki Haley has won a primary. She did it in a place noted for two things: the deep blue state and brazen crime. As you may have guessed, we are talking about the District of Columbia, where Donald Trump nor any of his associates can get a fair trial. The venue where Special Counsel John Durham not only lost a few cases vs deep state operatives, but the very place where he didn't think he could get convictions against people he would have otherwise charged. A place where the constitutional right to an impartial jury is being so viciously and willfully violated.

Washington DC has a population of 689,550 people and of that there are only 23,000 registered Republican voters. It is one of the most diverse cities in the US and one of the most dangerous.

The  2020 crime rate  in  Washington, DC  was  463  according to the  City-Data.com crime index . This rate is  1.8 times higher  than the U.S. average and was higher than in  95.9%  of U.S.  cities 1 Additionally, the chance of being a victim of  violent crime  in Washington, DC, is  1 in 134 , and the chance of being a victim of  property crime  is  1 in 29 2

Crime in Washington, District of Columbia (DC): murders, rapes, robberies, assaults, burglaries, thefts, auto thefts, arson, law enforcement employees, police officers, crime map (city-data.com)

A sampling of what the nation's capital has become: The district's mayor had the words "Black Lives Matter" painted on one of the main streets leading to the White House.

Nikki Haley won 62.9% of the vote, which gives her 19 delegates and a unique victory, depending upon how you look at it.

This is how former President Trump looked at it:

In other news:

Super Tuesday and the State of the Union are this week.

The former president of Honduras is facing drug trafficking charges in New York.

The Supreme Court looks poised today to rule on Donald Trump's eligibility for office. It should be very easy.

Vice President Kamala Harris is calling for an immediate cease fire in Gaza.

Allen Weisselberg, the ex-chief financial officer of former President Donald Trump's family real estate company, will plead guilty Monday to perjury charges that resulted from his testimony during Trump's Civil Fraud Trial.

A federal judge on Thursday held veteran journalist Catherine Herridge in contempt of court, fining her $800 a day for refusing to divulge her sources for a series of stories published in 2017 while she was a correspondent at Fox News. The American press corps once wore protecting sources like a badge of honor. Now there is only silence.

Good morning

OIP.RbBCR2PknRKM38KFwg-ZAgHaFj?w=256&h=192&c=7&r=0&o=5&pid=1.7

As we ponder the week ahead, it may be time to assess the lawfare strategy against the former President. Will there still be time to hang an indictment on him before the election?

And what happens to Hunter Biden should his legal team allow him to be called before the House Committee in an open hearing? After all, his sworn testimony is now at odds with his own text messages, bank records, phone records, and testimonies of some of his associates.

why didn't the goober poster boy for incest, comer, ask hunter any questions? why did he leave the closed door session early? why are the talking heads on FOX taking the republicans participating to task on the party's state news, ... er, infotainment channel?

Vice President Kamala Harris is calling for an immediate cease fire in Gaza.

I recommend she ride in one of those CDS Bundles in and broker the cease fire herself.

You don't think they would take her as a hostage?

Biden might be slow to negotiate her release.

Once she opens her mouth and starts babbling, I imagine they would send her packing pretty quick.

Biden might be slow to negotiate her release.

Like he has with the rest of the hostages Hamas is holding?

Democrats are for Nikki Haley. What a shock!/S

She might as well announce now that if elected she will ignore any and all illegal and questionable activities done by the Democrats, DOJ, FBI, IRS, and CIA. She will completely white wash any and all investigations into the Brandon crime family. Not that Weiss, Wray, or Garland will have made any progress on them.

She might even remember to mention her promise to pardon Trump; but the way she is talking that promise is long forgotten.

Clearly, she is not interested in making such people accountable. I doubt she could even get the country off the course it is on if she were President. She has a few policy differences with Trump, but nowhere do I see her acknowledging how far in left field the country is now stationed.

There are a lot of "never Trumpers" in the Republican party. Right now, the Haley campaign is counterproductive and unprincipled. Haley has gone from “I won’t run” if Trump runs for president" to she’s not bound to support Trump despite her pledge to do so.

Every last Trump supporter needs to be removed from office and Trump needs to go to jail. He is a mockery to democracy.

Oh, he definitely should stand trial.

He should have already stood trial, but he has played the system because it was not set up for someone who habitually does not follow rules, norms, and precedents, and because people keep treating him like he actually gives a shit about anything but himself.

His whole post Presidency has been marked by people treating him with kid gloves, which does not workwith Trump. Instead of pussy-footing around him, they should have brought charges long before they did. They were given the blueprints for a prosecution on obstruction of justice in the Muller report. We all knew that his plan is "delay, distract, obfuscate" because that is what he has aways done. Even if they were unable to get a conviction on obstruction of justice, they would have passed all of these procedural hurdles and bullshit claims of absolute immunity already.

Is that the democracy you speak of?

The democracy of which I speak is unrecognizable to a person such as Trump, as he has shown with his blatant and total disregard of the democratic process.

The conclusions that one must reach after looking at the evidence presented in the Jan 6 report follow:

  1. Trump knew that he lost;
  2. Trump lied to the American public every time he said he won;
  3. Trump lies to this day when he says that he won;
  4. Trump was conspiring with lawyers, elected officials, unelected officials, et.al. to disregard the true vote tallies of several states.
  5. Trump tried to pressure election officials to change the true vote tallies of several states
  6. Trump wound up a mob of people and sent them to the Capitol Building with the expressed purpose of changing the certified tallies of several states.
  7. Trump tried repeatedly to get his Vice President to disregard the letter and spirit of the Constitution and claim that he (the Vice President) had the authority to disregard and/or send back the certified tallies of several states.
  8. Trump sat in a dining room at the White House and watched for hours while the mob that he had wound up with months of lying about the election unleashed their anger at Congress and the Vice President. During this time he was contacting members of Congress trying to get them to go along with his plan to subvert the will of the people. He could have told the massed people(via twitter) to go home at any time but didn't.

These are the actions of a traitor to the United States of America. Any person who, knowing these established facts, says otherwise, is also a traitor to the United States of America. I guess that is why so many Republicans stick their fingers in their ears and run around in circles screaming "LaLaLaLa! I can't hear you!" If they admitted the truth they would have to acknowledge they were suckered by the Don.

Where were you in 2016?

Hillary Clinton  is sticking with her conviction that the 2016 presidential election was not conducted legitimately, saying the details surrounding her loss are still unclear.

“There was a widespread understanding that this election [in 2016] was not on the level,”  Clinton  said during an interview for the  latest episode  of  The Atlantic’s  politics podcast,  The Ticket . “We still don’t know what really happened.”

Why don't you try to disprove my contentions? We are not talking about Hillary at all.

You say that Nikki Haley needs to stand down, but I bet that you will be pretty glad that she didn't next November when Trump is in prison orange. You need to read the January 6th report also. There are facts clearly established (noted above) that prove that Donald Trump is a traitor to the United States of America.

And you want him to be president.

Imagine that.

So, everyone's fired up over the coming asswipe election?  Good thing the Pentagon is in Arlington rather than DC; guess that means the military is untainted by corruption.  No one expected neoliberals to go down without a butt drubbin'.

Few trust the government any longer, except minorities.  The charts and graphs show how Reagan and Clinton duped the country but even they could not fool all of the people all of the time.  So, what happens if the government holds a rigged election and no one shows up?  Guess it really doesn't matter since everything's been rigged to keep the minorities happy.  If the minorities ain't happy then maybe the next insurrection won't be so peaceful.
