From Joy to panic
"The aid that we have given Israel allowed Israel to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles that were just meant to attack the Israelis and the people of Israel. And when we think about the threat that Hamas, Hezbollah presents, Iran, I think that it is without any question, our imperative to do what we can to allow Israel to defend itself against those kinds of attacks," Harris responded.

This past week Kamala Harris has been participating in a flurry of interviews with her friends in left wing media. Many have been speculating that her internal polls must be atrocious for her campaign to take such a risky step. Yesterday we got a bit of a confirmation, and it didn't come from some "right-winger," it came from none other than Mark Halperin.

Alas, the "Joy" is gone, and panic has now set in at the Harris campaign. Polls released yesterday show Harris losing the key swing states of Michigan and Wisconsin. One pollster even wondered out loud how so much polling could have been constructed to show anything otherwise. After this election maybe we will hold pollsters accountable who used their polls to influence voters rather than simply trying to get a sense of where the voters were. One poll even shows her down by 2 points in the all-important state of PA. She is massively underperforming Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020.

Had the democrats been able to nominate a much more moderate candidate, one with a little charisma or a bit of general knowledge, things may have been different, but they are trapped with Kamala Harris with less than a month to go before the election. The democrat party has moved so far left that promoting moderate candidates has become impossible. Instead, the democrats have had to rely on a thoroughly dishonest media, lawfare, lies and a big bag of dirty tricks.

In the news:

Hurricane Milton is tearing across Florida. It has flooded the state from coast to coast and knocked out power for more than three million homes and businesses. It spewed tornadoes that killed people far from the storm’s eye, destroyed homes and shredded the roof of the Tampa Bay Rays’ stadium. It is expected to exit to the Atlantic Ocean soon.

Hezbollah militants have fought many ground battles recently with Israeli forces. Biden and Benjamin Netanyahu spoke over the phone concerning Israeli plans to hit Iran.

New York will close a tent shelter that houses thousands of migrants on Randall’s Island.

An explosion of particles from a solar storm is expected to reach Earth today. It could produce Northern Lights in much of the U.S. and may disrupt power grids.

Jon Tester, a vulnerable Senate Democrat, trails his Republican challenger in Montana. Democratic Senate candidates in Florida and Texas are also behind according to the latest New York Times/Siena College Poll.

Milton was deadly even before it made landfall. Tornadoes spun out of its edges. At least 116 tornado warnings were issued across the state, Gov. Ron DeSantis said. Tornadoes killed people in Fort Pierce, on the east coast. Search and rescue efforts are underway there now.

The partisan hack DAs and the so called "Special Prosecutor" have a lot to work through.

As Judge Cannon pointed out when she trashed Democrat lawfare, Jack Smith has his own issues that need to be worked out before he can go any further with his "cases".

As the appeals hearings on Trumps "fraud" case continues it becomes more and more obvious that Trump was targeted by Democrats lackies and that conviction stands a very good chance of being tossed.

Depending on how the election goes we will see 1 of 2 things.

Trump wins - restoration of American law.  But that won't be without the increased whining of the left wing fools who have been crying since 2016.

Harris wins - continued targeting of political opponents as the Democrats continue toward the dictatorship everybody but the left see happening.

TELL US WHETHER HIS STATEMENT MADE SENSE.

Coming from a disgraced former ABC & MSNBC journalist who was suspended for calling Obama "kind of a dick" on the air, now a commentor on NewsMax yes.

In December 2011, Halperin was listed as number 1 in   Salon ' s 2011 Hack List , his reporting described as "shallow and predictable" as well as "both fixated solely on the   horse race   and also uniquely bad at analyzing the horse race." [ 18 ]

Alex Shephard, writing in   The New Republic , criticized his coverage for being "totally fixated" on the horse race and for shallow analysis, and "that he’s wanted to carry Donald Trump's bags for years." [ 19 ]

Conversely, Benjamin Wallace-Wells of The New Yorker wrote that Halperin's The Circus is "both an argument for horse-race journalism and a way to see its inner workings, and so to track Heilemann and Halperin in their long traipse across the American interior is to see the media discovering its own vulnerabilities, just as Trump was exploiting them.

Mark Halperin - Wikipedia

Yes, he's a trump lackey probably pushing propaganda for the boss.

After this election maybe we will hold pollsters accountable who used their polls to influence voters rather than simply trying to get a sense of where the voters were.

The name is the "Democratic Party".

This is how stupid the right wing is -  there is nothing offensive about the word democrat , which literally means a supporter of democracy.

dem·o·crat
[ˈdeməˌkrat]
noun
an advocate or supporter of democracy:
"as a democrat, I accepted the outcome of the referendum"
So when you describe someone as "Democrat" you are complimenting them as being in favor of freedom.  But that is not the point of what the right is doing. They are using the word to show slow- witted solidarity with each other, and so called "own the libs".
Its as dumbass as the use of language can be.

It is the party of Democrats, hence Democrat party.  The party members do not self identify as Democratics; they self identify as Democrats.  The party of Democrats would be the Democrat Party.

The party of self identified Republicans would be the Republican Party.  So, it follows that the party of self identified Democrats would be the Democrat Party.

Since Democrats are so hung up on identity, especially self identity, it is rather surprising that Democrats allow the elites within the party to change their identity.

The Labor Department on Thursday said the  consumer price index (CPI)  – a broad measure of how much everyday goods like gasoline, groceries and rent cost – rose 0.2% in September from the prior month and was up 2.4% from a year ago.

Economists predicted that inflation would slow to 2.3% on an annual basis with it rising 0.1% from last month, according to estimates by economists surveyed by LSEG.

So-called core prices, which exclude more volatile measurements of gasoline and food to better assess price growth trends, were up 0.3% on a monthly basis and 3.3% compared to a year ago – slightly higher than economists' expectations of 0.2% and 3.2%, respectively.

President Biden and Harris received a briefing from  disaster relief authorities  on life-saving preparations for Hurricane Milton. The two also received the latest updates on the forecast and expected impacts for Florida.

While Biden attended the meeting from the White House, Harris and others attended virtually.

At one point during the briefing, Harris covered her mouth and appeared to relay a message to someone else.

Gov. Tim Walz, announced as  Vice President Harris’  running mate this week, has previously pushed for broad amnesty for illegal immigrants, putting him on the same page as Harris and further indicating that such a move could be a priority for a future Harris administration.

Walz wrote to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in  August 2021 ,  pushing for a pathway to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants as part of a potential budget reconciliation bill, including those protected from deportation and those who came to the U.S. as minors.

"As you work to finalize a budget reconciliation bill, we urge you to prioritize a clean pathway to citizenship for essential workers, Dreamers, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, and their families," the letter said.
