I can't even remember the name of the first horror movie I watched at a downtown movie theatre, but I do remember quite a bit about it. Here are two things. Maybe someone will recognize the movie. One scene was when the young man and his girlfriend were at an amusement park. They were on a ride that went into something like a cave. He changed during the time in the cave to a sort of monstrous person. Another scene was the so-called doctor had a big vault of something he would dip people into and when he lifted them back out of it there would be nothing but bones.
Loved the Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney movies monsters as a kid on 'Friday Fright Night' television. Curse of the Werewolf scared the crap out of every kid in town for weeks when it came to our local small town theater. Checked under the bed for weeks.
Thanks for the article, Buzz. Brings back memories.
My favorite one was" Rosemary's Baby"
For some reason, that movie scared me more than any other 'Creature Feature" I can't imagine the new version is as good as the original.
Yes Buzz, I meant he original movie of Rosemary's Baby..
I loved invasion of the body snatchers. The idea of all your friends and family turning into pods and popping out as spacePetunias gave me a jolt when I was about 10 years old. LOL, what a blast it was (is) though!
''The Shining'' is one of my favorite horror movies. ''Here's Johnny''.
I used to love to watch Shock Theater...
