Diverse Perspectives
"We want peace. And I think the initiative of President Trump is a very positive one. But my message was to say be careful because we need something substantial for Ukraine," he said in an interview from the Blair House Monday on "Special Report."

Yesterday France's left leaning leader Emmanuel Macron visited President Trump at the White House. European leaders are concerned about the U.S. commitment to help the Ukraine. They kind of want what Biden did, which was unlimited monetary support while managing the Ukrainian response.

Trump has a new perspective on Ukraine, which amounts to the Ukraine entering into a partnership with the US over mineral rights within the Ukraine. That would help the US with its key mineral problem. Kind of like allies working to help one another.

After the meeting Fox New's Brett Baier interviewed Macron. When it came to the question of how much security the Europeans were willing to provide, Macron's answer was somewhat ambiguous:

Macron said discussions are still ongoing about European countries’ roles in maintaining peace in Ukraine once the war is over. "We worked very hard together with the UK prime minister to have a French- UK proposal  to say we are ready to send troops, not to go to the front line, not to go in confrontation, but to be in some locations, being defined by the treaty, as a presence to maintain this peace and our collective credibility with the US backup and the US backstop."

French President Macron tells Trump to 'be careful' in the negotiating process | Fox News

Meanwhile a Federal Judge who made his own rules faces impeachment:

On January 29, 2025, Trump's Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issued a memorandum to all agencies titled "Initial Guidance Regarding President Trump's Executive Order Defending Women." It ordered all agencies to "take down all outward facing media (websites, social media accounts, etc.) that inculcate or promote gender ideology," and "ensure that all applicable agency policies and documents, including forms, use the term 'sex' and not 'gender.'"

In response, the Centers for Disease Control ( CDC ) and the Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ) removed large numbers of webpages and datasets that used the word "gender" instead of "sex."

On February 4, a medical group named Doctors for America filed an  18-page lawsuit  over the Trump administration's removal from the CDC and FDA websites of "a broad range of health-related data and other information used every day by health professionals to diagnose and treat patients and by researchers to advance public health."

On February 11, Washington D.C. federal Judge John Bates, a  George W. Bush  appointee, agreed to impose a temporary restraining order on the CDC and FDA and ordered that any deleted webpages be restored.

On February 24, Tennessee  Republican  Congressman Andy Ogles introduced an impeachment resolution against Bates.

The article of impeachment states that Bates' ruling was "so utterly lacking in intellectual honesty and basic integrity that he is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors."

The cease-fire between Hamas and Israel expires on Sunday. The two sides are yet to begin negotiations for an extension.

Israel is intensifying military operations in the west bank. It says it’s combating rising militancy in the area; Palestinians say they fear being permanently displaced.

A Hamas official expressed regrets about the Oct 7th attack, saying that he would not have supported the plan if he knew the devastation it would bring to Gaza.

Lester Holt, another activist "news" anchor, announced that he was leaving NBC's Nightly News show.

Apple plans to spend half a trillion dollars and hire 20,000 people in the U.S. over the next four years. The company also intends to open an A.I. server factory in Texas.

Speaker Mike Johnson is delaying the confirmation of Representative Elise Stefanik as U.N. ambassador because he can’t afford to lose her vote in the House with various legislation negotiations taking place. Stefanik should have been replaced by now, but New York's radical governor has deliberately slowed down the process in order to gum up the works for House Republicans.

Good morning.

Clint Hill was the Secret Service agent who leaped onto President John F. Kennedy’s limousine as it came under fire in Dallas and kept a scrambling Jacqueline Kennedy from falling. He died at 93.

Joy Reid cried yesterday over her propaganda show's cancellation.

Question: Will her wigs be set free into the wild?

They are opinion based.

Brett Baier's "Special Report" is the only strictly news-based show on Cable news.

LOL.

I didn't ask you if they were opinion shows, that is obvious. I asked you if they are propaganda the way you claim Joy Reid's show was.

You  regularly cannot even defend your own assertions.

John, I don't know why my answer caused you so much confusion.

You see, when Sean Hannity takes a news story like Lee Zeldin having to sue to get back $20 million that was deposited into a Citibank account because Joe Biden was worried that no government operative could blow through it before Trump took office, that is called news analysis based upon a certain opinion.

On the other hand, when the race obsessed Joy Reid asserts Conservatives would trade tax cuts to openly say the n-word, you have lies and propaganda.

And when you have a news show like Special Report, which has an objective reporting of the news, you have the best of journalism.

Joy Reid's show was nothing more than hate spewing racist propaganda mostly against White people.

Can you refute this? And can you provide evidence that the Fox programs are propaganda?

As for Joy Reid, she will likely have her own You Tube show , podcast, and write books.

Have you been keeping up with what Trump has been saying about Ukraine?  I am pretty sure you have posted several articles about the subject yourself.

So three years into the war and the UN wants to come up with a resolution that means nothing to anybody and will have no effect on the war just so they can say they are doing something and can now try and blame Trump for the war not ending.

Pathetic

Wrong again. The proposal that Zelensky and friends wrote up was the counter proposal to what the US already proposed.

If Trump gets into negotiations with Putin about the fate of Ukraine, it doesn't make sense to start a pointless virtue signaling pissing contest before talks even start. Even you must be smart enough to realize that.

You would think so but it seems the only thing that will satisfy many on the left is if the borders go back to pre 2014 and Russia pays for the rebuilding.  Anything short of that will just be a Trump failure.

Yesterday, at Trumps command, the United States voted against a UN declaration that Russia invaded Ukraine.

Did we?  Or did we abstain on French amendments to a resolution we drafted?

The assembly then considered the U.S.-drafted resolution, which acknowledges "the tragic loss of life throughout the Russia-Ukraine conflict" and "implores a swift end to the conflict and further urges a lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia," but never mentions Moscow's aggression.

In a surprise move, France proposed three amendments, backed by more than European countries, which add that the conflict was the result of a "full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation." The amendments reaffirm the assembly's commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity, and call for peace that respects the U.N. Charter.

Russia also proposed an amendment calling for "root causes" of the conflict to be addressed.

All the amendments were approved and the resolution passed 93-8 with 73 abstentions, with Ukraine voting "yes," the U.S. abstaining, and Russia voting "no."

The U.N. Security Council later approved the original U.S.-sponsored resolution. The vote in the 15-member council was 10-0 with five countries abstaining.
