The first magnificent cabinet meeting

The first magnificent cabinet meeting
"I think it's better," he said of this Cabinet. "I had some people I didn't really like so much in my Cabinet. But I didn't know Washington then, I was a New York person."

Today President Trump will be holding his first cabinet meeting. It comes after a busy first month of the new President enacting his agenda and getting his people in place. Trump has enacted a record number of Executive Orders, many directed at closing Joe Biden's wide-open border and deporting violent criminals. Other executive orders have aimed at diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the federal government and educational institutions. Some private companies have reversed their DEI-related programs as well.

Trump has gotten key concessions from our neighbors to the south and is now on his way to negotiating an end to the Ukraine War and getting House Republicans to stand together on legislation. In addition, Elon Musk is heading up a team exposing and cutting massive waste in the federal government.

In other news:

GkrUnQiXIAAdEOk?format=jpg&name=small

The House narrowly passed a Republican budget resolution that calls for trillions in tax cuts and federal spending cuts over a decade. The budget resolution vote was completely partisan.

Ukraine agreed to give the U.S. government a share of revenue from their mineral resources. Ukraine has mineral deposits of the 50 minerals the U.S. Geological Survey lists as critical for America’s economic development, including titanium and lithium. The Ukraine peace negotiations are now underway.

The Trump administration announced that it would follow the Biden administration precedent of handpicking reporters/news outlets who could ask questions of the President.

The Israeli military struck sites in southern Syria. It announced the move hours after the new Syrian leadership had demanded that Israel pull back in the country, where it has seized territory since the fall of Bashar al-Assad.

Britain’s prime minister, Keir Starmer, announced an increase in military spending. He is due to meet with President Trump tomorrow.

Andrew Cuomo is preparing to run for mayor of New York City. He resigned as New York’s governor in disgrace three years ago. His primary opponent is likely to be the much-maligned current mayor. Whoever wins that primary is expected to be favored over the straight, clean & principled Curtis Sliwa. More than three decades after being convicted of rape, a second member of the so-called Central Park Five will run for office in New York. Go figure NYC politics.

More than 700 National Park employees have accepted Musk’s offer to resign.

As a surprise to no one, President Trump has taken 7 times more questions in his first month in office than Joe Biden did in the same time span.

“Dolton Dictator” Tiffany  Henyard suffered  a landslide loss in Tuesday’s Democratic primary after more than a year of seedy scandals, wild antics, and haughty remarks finally caught up to her at the ballot box.

The under-fire Illinois mayor finally ran into her kryptonite — voters in her own Chicago suburb, who overwhelmingly picked village Trustee Jason House as the Democratic nominee.

Maybe certain voters can vote out a monster.

In all seriousness , do you have any video of corrupt white local politicians?

It is a more than fair question. The truth is that if Tiffany Henyard were white there is a 100% chance that she would not make your column.

The story is about a corrupt black politician. Do you have a problem with that?

Read the in the news section of this very column. There is the mention of the corrupt former Governor of New York and despite what some of your ancestors said, he is white.

Today President Trump will be holding his first cabinet meeting.

Are they  going to have that bit again where they go around the table with all of them taking turns telling Trump he is the greatest human being that ever lived ?   I bet they do.

Here is one giving him praise:

KYIV — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday that it is “a very good signal” that President Trump is meeting with him before Russian President Vladimir Putin — as the leader of the war-torn country prepares for a trip to Washington on Friday to sign a deal on mineral rights.

Volodymyr Zelensky says it's a 'very good signal' that Trump is meeting with him before Vladimir Putin

After a week of smearing the President, Zelensky finally got it. He is going to have his seat at the table and Trump is meeting with him first, and he isn't winning the war, so he has to negotiate.

He learned a lot in a few days.

Bullshit, he was always going to be included final decision making.    The triggered lefts attempts to say otherwise are simply pathetic.

They amount to nothing more than TDS driven, childlike temper tantrums

"A Texas border rancher was killed near the border by a suspected cartel IED earlier this month, the Texas Department of Agriculture told The Post Tuesday — as officials issued an urgent safety warning for the Rio Grande Valley.

Rancher Antonio Céspedes Saldierna, 74, who worked on both sides of the border, along with Horacio Lopez Peña, were killed in the blast in Tamaulipas, Mexico, which was just south of Brownsville, Texas. Lopez’s wife, Ninfa Griselda Ortega, was hospitalized with injuries."

Time to start whacking and stacking cartel members.

That is why Trump had the Cartels declared as terrorist organizations.

They can expect the US to hit them anytime, anyplace now.

Trump has gotten key concessions from our neighbors to the south

Trump threatened Canada and Mexico with tariffs unless they did more to stop the flow of drugs and help to close the border. Both countries did meet with Trump and promise to make changes and for what I know they did. But now Trump is going to let the tariffs start anyway? Why is he doing this? What's not being reported?

According to President  Donald Trump , the sweeping U.S.  tariffs  on imports from  Canada  and  Mexico  are coming.

The   tariffs set to begin   next week “will go forward” when a monthlong delay expires, Trump said Monday, and they will begin “on time, on schedule.”

How Trump's tariffs on Mexico and Canada will sweep across US states

Haven't seen any comments/hashing/gnashing of Musk being able to attend the first cabinet meeting.

Personally?  I don't like it nor would I condone it.  He's not been elected to any political "position" and Congress has not made/authorized him any powers.

This in one case - IMHO - where money needs to walk - and not talk.

Today President Trump will be holding his first cabinet meeting. It comes after a busy first month of the new President enacting his agenda and getting his people in place.

This is in stark contrast to the previous administration.

As a reminder, former President Joe Biden held his first Cabinet meeting, after nearly a year, in September 2024. Then, First Lady Jill Biden sat at the head of the table and ran it . Hunter Biden also attended Cabinet meetings while his father was in the White House after he became a convicted felon.  (emphasis mine).
