Stripping line off my fly reel and placing a fly on a leaf, it sometimes takes a fly to a point downstream that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to reach by casting. Once at the intended spot, a gentle pull on the line pulls the fly off of the leaf and drops the fly on the water so it can be then stripped back towards the fisherman.
It is a spiritual experience to be in the woods. It calms even a high-tension wire like myself.
One of my favorite pass times is to watch the leaves float down to the water, than make their way down the creek.
Wonderful photos Mac.

I've caught several nice trout this way.
So your using nature to catch a fish. You sneaky devil you.
Peace and serenity!
That is what you have captured in these photos.
Thanks for sharing those feelings by sharing the pictures
My pleasure, RIO.
Stunning! I can almost smell the sweet scent of the forest floor.
Try standing a little closer to your monitor see if that works.
Sometimes when I'm in the woods, I think I can almost smell my computer.
NOTE: Forgive me, I just came from Enoch's joke discussion and I'm having a secondary mirth attack.
MM,
If/when it snows, I'll be there.
ROFL I tried.....not quite!!!
Fabulous!!
Dear Friend A. Mac: Communion with mature does soothe the soul.
