The greatest blowhard of all time.
“I rise tonight because I believe sincerely that our country is in crisis.”

The great drama junkie finally did it! He set the record for a filibuster. Only it wasn't really a filibuster. It had no point and no meaning. He is on the wrong side of evey issue and for some reason he bullshitted for 25 hours.

It had no point and no meaning.

If you think it had no point, you clearly didn’t watch any of it. When you just dismiss something like this out of hand and don’t address anything he said, that tells us more about you than his message. He didn’t read Green Eggs and Ham. He actually talked about important things.

You claim he had a point.

What was it?

You just refuse to watch any part of it or read up on it, huh? Sure, I’ll do your homework for you.

He criticized basically all the stuff Trump has done or is doing this year in terms of policy and international relations. Not in a vague or general way, but very specifically, and in detail. We’re talking about all of it, from indiscriminate firings, to the value of arbitrarily gutted programs, ignoring legally created programs and dismissing legally appropriated funds as waste or fraud.

He put a human face - perhaps futilely trying to appeal to whatever empathy might remain in the Republican Party - on the actions taken thus far. He cited several stories of regular people from around the country.

He discussed the history of these things, but also the history of speaking up against them. He encouraged regular people to do what they could, but also conveyed that elected officials, like himself, were doing what they could. He particularly stressed the importance of that grass roots response.

In short, he had a lot to say that was of value. I am saddened - but not surprised - that no one on the right here today has shown any inclination to actually engage with any part of it.

No one will ever think or talk about this again until the next bloviating fool wants to make the political addicts in his party notice him or her for a couple hours. And then they'll say "you talked longer than someone named Cory Booker did for no apparent reason in 2025.  Congrats!"

This is as dumb and pointless as stunts get.

Not as dumb and pointless as all the ad hominem arguments from people like you who clearly didn’t watch it. Not surprising. Y’all were probably afraid to hear what he had to say.
