Totally agree with her, why spend so much to possibly find another particle that has no practical purpose. If they haven't found the graviton by now, they probably never will.
I'd like to see more research into the "Fundamental Forces", and how they interact and are connected.
"They'd say Sabina just wants to sell books, which, yeah, I want to..."
First, what's with the blank piece of paper, red phone and bobble head Einstein? It's like she picked the kids science booth set for an elementary school picture day.
Second, she claims to have believed all this study into physics that doesn't have a clear defined purpose intended to fix an existing problem before the LHC was built, and then says she was right, nothing was learned, it was all pseudo-science. But then later she says it was all only worthless after the Higgs Bosun was confirmed, which is basically admitting that a theory was supported, money invested to build the LHC and then the theory was confirmed, which is exactly what she's claiming can't or doesn't happen which is why it's pointless to throw money at confirmed the supposed (as she claims) 1 over infinity of physics theories (which even a laymen should know isn't possible since there are a limited number of physicists with a limited number of theories. Sure, it's likely a very large number, but it's still not infinity).
"Sometimes having a few loose screws in your head is actually a benefit"
That sounds like an unproven theory put forth by the 'Loose Screws' conglomerate that should be studied! We'll have to build an SLSC or "Sabina Loose Screws Collider" to confirm that theory.
"My friends told me I'm nuts"
"The only person who didn't question my sanity was my mother"
"It didn't help that at the time I had serious mental health problems"
Okay, so we're supposed to listen to that, then decide all the tens of thousands of physicists are the crazy ones and this woman is sane. Right. Got it. So, what's her claim?
"And this is the reason why I'm opposed to building this bigger particle collider. It'd be a disaster for the foundations of physics. It'd stall progress for another 50 years. it'd take up a lot of money. It would encourage people to produce more nonsense theories. It'd do next to nothing for society."
So, she is saying, believe her because she knew this was a waste of time and money before the first LHC was built, and even though that did in fact produce results and did confirm the Higgs Bosun, it's just a big waste of money. Well, I guess you can't expect people with serious mental health problems to be able to see the forest through the trees. The fact is, from the development of the LHC technology, the accelerator physics developed to do high energy physics greatly increased the ability to focus a beam of energetic particles into a very small area, as well as the ability to cause the particles to interact only at that specific location which led to breakthroughs in cancer treatment and radiation therapy. Accelerator physics has also led to cleaner manufacturing such as the beams from low energy accelerators used to vulcanize the rubber that significantly decreased the chemicals required. There have been all sorts of residual benefits and inventions that have come from investing in the LHC technology, and yet Sabina here dismisses it all as just a "waste".
What does she suggest we spend all the physics funding on?
"Quantum gravity"
Perhaps she thinks that will explain why she feels so incredibly attracted to Paul Rudd, who, as Ant-Man, got lost in the Quantum realm where Ant-Man could potentially exist in the infinite multi-verse of physics theories and he and Sabina are lovers.
"This would be by all reasonable measures, be a considerably better investment"
Okay, so Sabina's not going to invest in the next LHC and wants to invest in Quantum technology, that's how people show their interest. So, what's her point again? Oh, that's right, she's bitching at other people who invested their money in shit she didn't agree with, boo hoo.
"I didn’t plan on becoming particle physicists’ enemy number one, but somehow I have."
When she realized that she disagreed with the majority of physicists and thought most of their theories were shit, what made her choose to try and police other physicists' projects? She wasn't donating, she wasn't working on the LHC project, she had no vested interest, and yet she chose to voice her opinion and write a book attacking physicists' theories and methods. She could have chosen to explore those fields she seems to have an interest in, yet here she is with a plastic red phone and a bobble head trying to make a career out of shitting on other people's careers. Well, one thing is for sure, in the MAGAverse she'd be considered a hero and would be appointed Chief Whitehouse Physicist Phucker.
This should please our Luddite community.

For those who like science stuff I recommend Dr. Becky
Naked Singularities: black holes WITHOUT event horizons?!
Now, if we could only come up with an honest and brave climate scientist, that would be great news.
