For sure I would have put Ja Ja Binks on the list. Anyone got other suggestions?
Mickey Rooney has always irritated me, starting with his first movie, the 1936 Little Lord Faunteloy.
Agree with opinion of Mickey Rooney. Got to like Hitchcock showing up in his ownmovies though.
I'd have to agree with all of these, and frankly, I'm glad that everyone else feels that way, too! I'd like to add Jar-Jar Binks and Star Wars, Episode 1. That character was nothing BUT annoying!
Great article, Buzz! Thanks!
Bill Paxton in Predator 2,...1990
Any character played by Travolta; for some reason could never believe him.
Kid in movies in peripheral parts almost always annoy me also.
Any movie with a talking animal
No thanks.
How about a parrot?
Dear Friend Buzz: Any movie that takes the least intelligent approach rubs me the wrong way.
Titles and the films they label like, "Ernest Scared Stupid", and "Dumb and Dumber" are turn offs.
The classic Rod Steiger and James Coburn flick about the Mexican Revolution was almost perfect.
The problem wasn't in the movie. It was the title.
The film was called, "Duck, You Sucker".
By analogy, had Romeo and Juliet been called "Teenie Bopper Love" it would have mixed a formula title to sell tickets with a work of legitimate art and enduring value.
Peace, Popcorn, and Abundant Blessings.
Enoch.
Good observation, Enoch.
Not in its "own voice" nor one in a sound track!
Can't stand it.
