Muslim woman barred from Colorado pool over dress
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. A Colorado city is promising to revise its swimsuit rules after a Muslim woman was turned away from its recreation center pool for wearing an Islamic dress over a shirt and pants.
Saba Ali told KMGH-TV that she offered to just wear the shirt and pants to swim on Sunday but was denied.
Commerce City spokeswoman Michelle Halsted says street clothes aren't allowed in the pool because they can increase the likelihood of contamination and waterborne illness.
She says full body swimsuits and rash guards used by surfers and scuba divers are allowed. The city will update its swimwear brochure to include burkinis-- loose fitting full-body swimsuits with a hood made for Islamic women.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in the United States, do as the United States does. Problem solved. Any country that requires their ladies to dress like that really has a big problem in my opinion. I don't know about you, but I'm for leaving your traditions that don't conform to our traditions back home when it conflicts with ours or buy your own swimming pool. Like the gays looking for people who don't want to make their T-shirts. They could find many places who would be glad to make their T-shirts, but they are searching out these places to fundamentally transform this country and win lawsuits from judges who are sympathetic to them or just plain crazy in my opinion. It's ok for some now, but your time is going to come when something isn't going to be ok with you and see how it feels.
I've never seen nuns go swimming in their habits.
