Name the Movie (Part 3)
Name the Movie (Part 3)
Okay, the first two seemed to be enjoyed, although I guess too many members are too busy with politics to have a little fun. Here are some more photos - less of faces and more of places and things. Hopefully some of you will see something familiar and be able to name the movies.
The numbers are ON TOP OF THE PHOTOS. Please use the numbers to identify the pictures.
If you enjoy the movies, remember that there is a Classic Cinema group on NT, and membership is open. If you search back in the archives of the articles you are bound to find lots to read and enjoy.
Here we go again. Let's have some fun.
Buzz, you are really getting tough now. Here is my only pick out of the 10 so far:
#6 - Night of the Hunter
You're right pokermike. That was probably the second most easy one. Are there so few NT members who watch as many movies as I do? You and JR Two are both pretty knowledgeable, and Dowser's pretty good too, but where is SwamiJim - he could be better than me on these.
Nope, can't get one! Too hard, dear Buzz!
I said this would be harder.
However, I knew you'd come through, John. You're correct with Forbidden Planet, but not with #7.
OMG... Not a clue. #5 TheLincoln Lawyer? #3 The DaVinciCode?
It's necessary to be really devoted to the movies, to watch as many as possible and to watch them more than once in order to pick up on everything. I'm a very observant person, meaning that I become very aware of my surroundings at all times, so I notice things and remember them. When I watch a movie over again I notice things I didn't notice the first time around.
If I don't get more answers, I'll leave hints as I did in the other articles.
#8 - Vanishing Point Destroyed a bunch of Challengers and the last one ran right into those bull dozers.
You DO have a clue, Perrie, you're right on both.
Sixpick - right on. That ended the movie - Vanishing Point.
Wow! Good to see that some people know their movies.
1, 2, 7, 9 and 10 still to go. I've given the answers for the two nobody got on the second article.
I finally knew one of the movies, and Perrie beat me too it. ''The Lincoln Lawyer''.
Do I get at least 1/2 point?
LOL... Kavika! I love it when I finally get the upper hand. It happens so infrequently!
I did it for Dowser on a previous article, so I have to do it for you too. LOL
Yay!
Great, I now have a total of 1/2 pointfor the all three.
Perrie, enjoy it while you can...
I'm usually pretty observant, too! But few of these places ring a bell...
#2 Dune
Okay, Perrie, if you didn't see Badfish's answer 5 minutes before you posted, you get 1/2 point.
That wasn't required Badfish, but you didn't say specifically what it was either. You only said it was a prop. I explained what it was.
That closes off this quiz. I'll work on another one that might even stump Badfish.
I'm going to post it on Classic Cinema so you'll have to join the group. I don't know how you do it, you can't possibly have seen all those movies, so it's going to turn out to be a challenge. I would not have been able to identify all the ones John posted in his quiz. I know you can google words, but how do you google photos? I'll bet you would never have identified the Meetings With Remarkable Men or Bride and Prejudice photos unless you had some clandestine way to do so.
Buzz,
BTW, John closed down his article. He actually made it for you to do. I think you took it the wrong way.
8. Vanishing point....1971
That's what I thought, John. It simply wasn't possible for him to be able to guess all the answers. He sabotaged my article and ruined it for me and everyone else. He really is a bad fish. I know what I'm going to do next now.
Perrie said you created your quiz for me, and that I took it the wrong way. Not at all. I was sleeping (remember that I live on the other side of the world) and did not even open it until I woke in the middle of the (my) night. If I said anything negative I was only kidding. I think imitation is a great compliment, and if you did it for me I truly appreciate that gesture.
I don't know why I had trouble opening the photos, but by the time I could see them I saw that Badfish had identified all of them (that others had not done). As it happens, I'm not sure I could have identified any of them. I post photos of movies I've seen and know, whereas if I had seen any of the ones you posted I had forgotten them entirely, except for the one for Stunt Man. But there are two Stunt Man movies (One uses the Article "The" while the other doesn't). The one I know is the one Peter O'Toole is in, and since I didn't recognize the photo I thought it must have been from the movie I had not seen.
Correct. It was the end of the Challenge(r), so to speak.
Not at all, Perrie. Read my reply to John later on in the comments. However I am very disturbed that Badfish say fit to ruin my quizzes and John's quiz for everyone. I was just plain evil. When I saw his unlikely chain of correct answers I guessed there had to be some way to post photos onto the computer and do a search. John thinks that as well. The fact that Badfish has erased his comments proves it.
Maybe it's this one I was thinking of:
well don't let anyone tell you this is just too cheesy.....of course it doesn't get any cheddar than this......
?
Wow, tough....the only one I can identify is #10 - Wild Hogs.
You really have to be a cinephile to get many of these, and those on my previous articles. If I make it easy, it's not challenging wherein success would be a gratifying accomplishment.
