Good info BF. As kids we would run everywhere barefooted. It was nothing to run to the next village, around 7 miles, just to see a friend. Shoes were not something that we ever ran in.
Humans were born to run. If they start to compete in marathons around the world, they will rule the marathon. Fantastic and wonderful people, the Tarahumara. Very interesting video. Thanks for finding this. I enjoyed it.
Actually, I have a friend runs marathons and at the end of a race, he will drink one or, at the most two beers to replenish some of what was used during the run.
Truly a super group of runners.

This video and the Taramuhara explains a lot.
I read that story BF...It was great, I loved it. Yes, they are short for playing basketball.
Up here in the US, we call it ''Rez Ball''..The universities are now finding out that there are some great bball players on the rez.

If you see them run by and you hear "putt putt putt", you might be right about the chilies.
The corn beer sounds interesting. I might like to try a cold one on a hot afternoon while sitting in the shade with a bunch of friends.
Very interesting video . I'm guessing that the BATFE will not give me a pass if I make my own "corn beer" .
Happy that you enjoyed it Grump. Amazing group of people and runners.
You two crack me up...
Petey, I'm sure they will if you run 125 miles a day barefoot, and don't try to sell any of it.
Toooo much work !
LOLOL, come on Petey, you can do it.
If I had a bottle of that corn beer to keep me hydrated I might consider 20 miles by bicycle . But there would have to be no hills ...
''But there would be no hills...''...Well, that leaves Copper Canyon out.
I would have to agree with you there . Maybe a helicopter ride ... but on the ground ? No way !
With regard to beer and marathons
I could always run a tab.

Are you saying that you could run up, and pick up the tab, or run away from the tab?
Either way, beer is in the mix.
