Transmitted light, that is, light seen through translucent media -- light filtered through that which it passes, can have spiritual qualities; there's a reason for churches, etc. using stained glass to tell Biblical stories.
And macro images, images photographed and displayed larger than the actual photographed (painted, etc.) subject, and/or shown full frame, isolated without context, almost always are attention-grabbers since almost all we see ordinarily, are in context rather than isolated.
That's why this photograph of a back-lighted rose is so effective -- and the dew/rain drops add to "feeling" in that they are in context.
I love to analyze images and this one is an example as to why.
