(Based on the Picture in the Graphic Above)

"Something" happened in that building -- i t's up to you, the author/poet to use your imagination, creativity and writing skills to tell, i.e. as a "Reporter," "Story Teller," Poet, "Eye Witness," -- about that "Something" -- to tell what happened .

Create the "Something" -- that will be your submission to the Challenge.

At the end of the Challenge, when the submissions are posted for all to appreciate and enjoy, we'll tell you about the building, but the "Something" is for you to devise.

Get writing NT Authors and Poets!

The winning submission(s) and honorable mentions will be posted as a separate, stand-alone discussion sometime on or around May 1, 2014

Hi Perri!

I had forgotten about your entry on NV....and when I read it again....it still had the same impact as it did the first time....Awesome story!

Now years <?> later...I am reading "divergent"...and your story is very much like the book...almost scary...you should write more...and publish!

Looking forward to this submission!

I will submit my piece for a rating approval so that members aren't offended without warning.

"Forewarned is forearmed."

Looking forward to your entry, BF or GURUfish or whomever.

The Latin saying 'praemonitus, praemunitus' loosely translates as 'forewarned is forearmed'. There's no evidence to show that the English proverb is merely a translation of the Latin though. The two sayings could easily have originated independently.

Question: I have an entry, but I guess I can't submit it until you accept my friend request? Will you pretty please be my friend? Request sent.

Hal A.,

In the interim, send it to me at my NT Home Page and I'll send it to Sara G.

Done, however, in looking at the sent email I noticed that the format gets all mangled. It comes through as one giant paragraph. Any way to fix that?

I would like to ask those that are submitting entries to please send me a friend request first...once accepted then you will be able to submit the entry to me at NT's...

Of course I am open to accepting any and all friend requests...as long as you only ask once...yes that means one.....1....ONE time...Grin.gif

Hi Dowser!! I'm sure you'll come up with something! Lots of talented folks here...! Mac is a master photographer, I'm very lucky that he puts up with me going through all his stock photos and picking the ones for the challenge!

So we have to write the piece as if we are a reporter... so no narratives, right?

Narratives are fine; I was just giving random examples.

Just about any genre goes.

I will be sitting in a classroom all day tomorrow for my continuing education....oh yay..

Any friend requests will likely have to wait my return on Sunday.

Feel free to send submissions to Mac...who can then forward them to me.

Monday night at 8pm EST is the deadline for submissions regardless of who they go to.

Mac and I will have to get together on Wednesday to discuss the submissions and should have the outcome ready for Mac to present to you soon after.

Good luck everyone...from what we've seen so far...this will not be an easy decision. I am blown away by the stories we've received..!

Have a great weekend.

Sara

And here I was under the impression that I needed to come up with poetry . That's much harder than writing a story even an imaginative one . Friend request sent to Sara .
