Walk A Mile In My Shoes ~ Joe South
(Lyrics by azlyrics dot com)
Walk A Mile In My Shoes
If I could be you, if you could be me
For just one hour
If we could find a way to get inside
Each other's mind
If you could see you through my eyes
Instead your ego
I believe you'd be, I believe you'd be surprised to see
That you've been blind
Walk a mile in my shoes
Walk a mile in my shoes
Yeah, before you abuse, criticize and accuse
Walk a mile in my shoes
Now there are people on reservations
And out in the ghetto
And brother there, but for the grace of god
Go you and I
If I only had the wings
Of a little angel
Don't you know, I'd fly to the top of a mountain
And then I'd cry, cry, cry
Walk a mile in my shoes
Walk a mile in my shoes
Yeah, before you abuse, criticize and accuse
Walk a mile in my shoes
Walk a mile in my shoes
Walk a mile in my shoes
Yeah, before you abuse, criticize and accuse
Walk a mile in my shoes

It hurts to say " Most people don't listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply. " Unknown.
Et la mer efface sur le sable, les pas des amant desunis.
Buzz..Many Artists tell the story of judging others when they don't know the truth. Thank you for that.
That's a very nice idea, Mike. Something to cherish. Thank you for sharing a piece of your heart.
lol.. In that case, I'll only listen when you're speaking English.
Possibly.
...and many times they judge others.
True, we all do. Imo, the difference is whether we act on it or not. What I mean by that is keeping our 'impression' of others to ourselves, or if we try to hurt someone that we don't agree with or don't like for some reason.
Yes.. yes, you may.
Question: Do I have to be in the car?!!
aaww Very touching and sentimental.
Yes, it is.
I look at that saying and think "Who are we to judge anyway"?
Yes.
In real life, I'm guilty, but am also learning tolerance with things that don't infringe on my rights; I was just annoyed. I've really had to ask myself 'why' was I annoyed. The answer was selfish. The area requires a lot of maintenance, so people tend to do what needs to be done and not really be concerned about if it works for someone else or not. I've learned that communicating and explaining can change a lot of things as long as it is mutual agreement. eg, if someone has something going on and would like the chainsaws and brushwackers to stop for a few hours on the weekend, people are willing to oblige--that changed my opinion of some of them. So, yes...I found out my judgment wasn't so accurate.
