Woe to you, oh earth and sea For the Devil sends the beast with wrath Because he knows the time is short Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast For it is a human number Its number is six hundred and sixty-six
I left alone, my mind was blank I needed time to think To get the memories from my mind What did I see? Can I believe? That what I saw that night was real and not just fantasy?
Just what I saw in my old dreams Were they reflections of my warped mind staring back at me? 'Cause in my dreams it's always there The evil face that twists my mind and brings me to despair
Night was black, was no use holding back 'Cause I just had to see, was someone watching me? In the mist, dark figures move and twist Was all this for real or just some kind of Hell?
Six six six, the number of the beast Hell and fire was spawned to be released
Torches blazed and sacred chants were praised As they start to cry, hands held to the sky In the night, the fires are burning bright The ritual has begun, Satan's work is done
Six six six, the number of the beast Sacrifice is going on tonight
This can't go on, I must inform the law Can this still be real, or just some crazy dream? But I feel drawn towards the chanting hordes Seem to mesmerize, can't avoid their eyes
Six six six, the number of the beast Six six six, the one for you and me
I'm coming back, I will return And I'll possess your body and I'll make you burn I have the fire, I have the force I have the power to make my evil take its course
my Man Cave amongst men, features a 10' wides x 7' high big screen with Hitachi projector, a 50" plasma, along with a 47" and 32" monitors all run through my pos old computer and my Yamaha Surround which is bridged to my old school S.A.E Amp via Numark equalizer, feeding my Cerwin Vega surround sound sub with satellites and center channel along with a pair of Othena Towers i inherited from late best bud, two Aiwa & Sony separate powered subs, and the true kickers,
my Old School still ridiculously rocking it Klipsch Fortes II speakers I purchased in 1989, for the small fortune of $1,200 + dollars back then, and still
ROCKIN the FCKN HOUSE !........The Numark equalizer,S.A.E Amp and pre-amp were purchased in 87, for the low low price of over $900 but considering how BAD ASS they still remain to this day, solid investments. I first heard much of my music, through this ROCKIN System, that continues to cause ears to bleed, in deed, with little ole ditties like this
I had a neighbor tell me that this song reminded her of me. I think it's because I love metal and I have a 79 Firebird with an Olds big block that screams down the road.
Number of the Beast and Run to the Hills are on my Amazon playlist. It’s a playlist designed to swing wildly between genres, and Iron Maiden represents about one quarter of my metal selections. The playlist also has personal favorites of rock, alternative, punk, ska, reggae, hip hop, light rock, new wave, hippie stuff, dancehall, speed metal, folk, bluegrass, goth, pop, and a smattering of classical and country (neither of which I generally care for). Then I threw in a couple funny tunes like Sunshine Day from the Brady Bunch and We Go Together from the Grease soundtrack. I like to put the earbuds in, hit shuffle and go for a walk. Always puts me in a good mood.
I’m guessing you are referring to the classic rock of the seventies. That is actually the one genre I intentionally minimized on my playlist. Nothing against it, I’ve just heard so much of it throughout my youth that I wanted to focus on songs less familiar. I’m sitting alone by the bonfire right now listening to the playlist - the last few songs were the Sunday’s, ELO, Fastball, Edie Brickell, the Misfits, TuPac, Katy Perry, and now the the Foundations. It’s all over the place and I love it.
I remember seeing the movie Heavy Metal back in the early 80's and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, unfortunately I caught it at a drive-in triple feature about a decade later and it just wasn't the same (sigh). Still like the soundtrack though,
Really great article from the period; Playboy had written a whole piece about how the syncopated beat of Kashmir was causing irregular brain waves and heart attacks. No joke. I wish I could find it on the interwebs.
woe, take em from my hair, and jam em in my ears Deer ! At least you got Disco rightas that's what sent me to SABBATH ! Hated thtat crap. Here is a reaction to some Heavy metal that i do enjoy
Actually I just wanted to post these lyrics. Haha
Lol I still have this T-shirt buried in my shirt drawer
I use to have one a long time ago.
I wonder if it would be worth anything.
I'm doubtful as I don't remember going to the concert so it's probably a reprint
LOL What concert ? O that one, yeah I don't remember either must have been a good time though.. I was at a concert.
lol
O ta be young again....
I really like "Wasted Years"
A classic movie with classic songs.
My favorite part was the B52, or whatever kind of plane it was, with the zombies. Love that song too.
Second favorite would be the two getting stoned and trying to land.
It was a B-17 and yes, that was a great segment. Captain Sternn was also good.
Thanks. I am bad with planes.
I just realized I said B-52's on a heavy metal thread.
luv shackin up to some Heavy Meddling
The B-52's were a decent group in their own right.
I never knew lobsters could rock.
The B-52s were a great group.
As much as I love all kinds of music though, most of the heavy metal stuff I don't.
Do you consider Led Zeppelin to be heavy metal?
Not really.
I remember one year one of the music awards shows awarded best metal band to Jethro Tull.....over metallica
I remember that. People scratching their heads.
did some one say HEAVY
I knew you wouldn't disappoint !

Okeefe society puts out some fantastic covers.
Talk about BAD ASSS, this IS IT ! This is what my neighbors and i listen to when i'm stereotyping, and i do, often
Have you ever heard European heavy metal? That shit is in a class all itself.

Some metal can be well, heavy. This song always made me smile. I can picture myself driving along and bopping my head up and down. Haha
.
I had a neighbor tell me that this song reminded her of me. I think it's because I love metal and I have a 79 Firebird with an Olds big block that screams down the road.
One of my favorites, excellent tune.

I find myself always going back to songs from the seventies.

I will admit I do have some disco on my phone.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Burn baby burn...
I'm pretty sure I read that liking disco is a COC violation punishable by banishment
This is my idea of ''Heavy Metal''.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.
he ain't Heany, he's my brother is an old reference of mine r.t.b. might recall, but whatever you do, don't tell anyone....
I love Queens of the Stone Age. I really love anything that Dave Grohl has been a part of really.
I share a birthday with Dave Grohl too. He's older though.
From Can To Can't, one of my favorites
I'm with you. We're from a different generation than most of them, I guess.
Love this vid too. Extra points.

I am not that vain...
Favorite D&D metal...
I almost get vibes of anime.

I like that one. I don't ever remember hearing it before.
Iconic trac.
One of my all time faves!

You're a "young'un" Ender. My music roots go back to the 40s. Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, etc.
From Lousiana and Long Island:
woe, take em from my hair, and jam em in my ears Deer ! At least you got Disco rightas that's what sent me to SABBATH ! Hated thtat crap. Here is a reaction to some Heavy metal that i do enjoy
My favorite metal of all time, has got to be Pantera. RIP Dimebag and Vinnie!
Okay, that's enough from me.
I was waiting to see if someone posted them.
Okay... some Prong:
And the one everyone knows...
Here is a tad more enticing version that even those not fond of Metal will still appreciate:
Yeah, I suppose for heterosexual males or lesbian females. Or I suppose bisexuals.
so you are familiar with it ?
I have to be careful with what I watch on my WORK computer.
But yes, I'm familiar.
They seem nice.
