I was reading this and trying to understand what he meant.
I know this was about a war in Cuba and the charge up San Juan Hill.
That can be discussed if wanted.
Myself I was curious as to what this statement means to you.
For me it almost means, better to go against the odds than do nothing.
I think it means exactly that. Risk all or live a life of cowardiceness
no lube.
To me it means live life to fullest, enjoy & explore everything or stay curled up in the fetal position.
To attempt mightly things instead of lying back.
I think everyone's take on it so far is correct.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
That's the way it hits me too Sandy.
