Hi sweetie, just having a look to see what all the fuss is about. New NV is not a happy place for me. Thank you for sending the FR.

You picked a perfect day. NV Beta became Alpha.

Confusion reigns over there. I need a break.

Thanks for thinking of me. You humble me and am glad that our friendship continues.

I went to Crawfish festival because my daughter and grandkids were down visiting me that weekend, and when I mentioned it, she was all over going to it. We took the grandkids down to the boardwalk, let them burn off some energy and then we went looking for food and beverages. It was (as you mention) so crowded that we didn't really have a chance to explore anything else except the boardwalk, because we knew if we left there we would never get a place to park elsewhere. So we capitulated and ate at Joe's Crab Shack, which is like eating at the McDonalds of seafood, only at exorbitant prices.

Talking about it has got me even more determined to go down there and explore the town, though. It just looks like a place where a good meal and some good cold beer could be obtained if one only knew where to go to get it.

(And, I have a knack for finding good food and cold beer 38.gif)

Kemah is very cool. Only about 10 or 15 minutes from my place, too. I was there a few weeks back during the Crawfish Festival, and keep meaning to get down there again on some weekend to just explore. I figure there has to be some good watering holes and eating establishmentsdown there, I just haven't had a chance to find them.

Welcome, Islandgirl.

It's always good to see new faces. You are down in my neck of the woods, or I in yours, as I live in Pasadena, not far from your Island.

Good to see you here, and have a great time. It's a good bunch of people.

I only said that to you because you inspire awe and fear in me !! And some other emotion which will remain nameless ... 109.gifAnyway , your father was very perceptive [I expect] . And no to the native origin . I'm from NY orginally . How long since you've been back in Florida ?
