His comment makes little sense. If it didn't hit Tampa directly it was going to hit south which it did and caused a lot of deaths and destruction.
Ron De Santis really is a disgrace to America.
I guess he's saying that the "liberal media" wanted to see it hit Tampa because it is a more populous area.
He's crazy if he thinks that folks are prejudiced against Florida or that they have schadenfreude feelings with Florida's disaster.
Is there any evidence that anyone was rooting for it to hit the city? Or is this just another case of someone pulling some bullshit oppression fantasy out of their ass for political gain?
In any event, does this say something about what DeSantis is really worried about? Not lives or property, but how he looks in the media?
