Rick Wilson blisters GOP for silence on Trump as he slips 'deeper into mental illness'

Reacting to Donald Trump boasting that he would let Russia invade and "encourage them to do whatever the hell they want," in NATO countries if they don't contribute what he thinks is their fair share to the organization, avid Trump critic Rick Wilson blew up on Republicans for looking the other way.
In part of his epic rant on X, the former GOP campaign consultant wrote, "It's not enough that he's a rapist, a fraud, and slipping deeper into mental illness and sociopathy. It's they're fine with it as long as they keep the sweaty, febrile MAGA masses happy and keep their jobs."
According to Wilson, there are precious few Republicans willing to stand up to the former president and he is tired of people complaining to him that he is painting the party with a broad bush.
"I will not tell myself or anyone else comfortable lies about the Republican party. I will not tell you there are secret words from a mystical focus group seance that will convert the Red Hat Trucknutz Cadre back to the Reagan GOP," he wrote. "I have a long record of very accurately seeing ahead to what Republicans will *really* do viz Trump, as opposed to what people *dream* they'll do. How many times have I gotten the call of 'Oh, you can't attack X or Y...they're one of the good ones' only to see the 'good one' bend the knee to Trump in hours or days? (Sue Collins, anyone?)."
Wilson then aimed his ire at Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) who went on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday and defended Trump over his Russia comments ("That's not how I view that statement. He was talking about something, a story that he talked about happened in the past.") and attacking Nikki Haley's military spouse — a smear that led GOP campaign consultant Scott Jennings to call Trump an "a**hole" three times later on "State of the Union."
As Wilson wrote, "Not one Republican elected (correct me if I'm wrong) has come out today with both barrels blazing on Trump's latest Russia capitulation. In fact, per Marco's 'What, me worry?' interview with Tapper today, they're doing the opposite."
"There are no good guys in office staying in the fight. The MAGA GOP is corrupt to the core, craven to its bones, and its utter abandonment of every shred of principle in Trump's service is a disqualifier for redemption. Stop trying to put the paddles on the chest of this zombie party," he concluded.
