The unvarnished remarks oozed racism as Ramaswamy, whose parents emigrated from India, listened politely and later praised her on X (formerly Twitter) for "having the guts to speak her mind."

Coulter declared on Ramaswamy's "Truth" podcast: "I agreed with many, many things you said ... when you were running for president, but I still would not have voted for you because you're an Indian."

"There is a core national identity that is the identity of the WASP," she said, using an acronym for White Anglo-Saxon Protestant. "And that doesn't mean we can't take anyone else in ― a Sri Lankan or a Japanese, or an Indian. But the core around which the nation's values are formed is the WASP."

Ramaswamy appeared unruffled by her remarks and noted that they shared an opposition to dual citizenship. He then asserted that a child of immigrants would have greater loyalty to the country than disgruntled seventh-generation WASPs.

Fast-forward to 6:30 to hear Coulter's unabashed bigotry:

Ramswamy addressed Coulter's comments later on X.

"@AnnCoulter told me flat-out to my face that she couldn't vote for me 'because you're an Indian,' even though she agreed with me more than most other candidates. I disagree with her but respect she had the guts to speak her mind," he wrote.

I disagree with her but respect she had the guts to speak her mind. It was a riveting hour. The TRUTH podcast is back https://t.co/neVjKSs6e9

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) was not impressed.

"I wasn't surprised that Ann Coulter made a racist statement about Vivek," he wrote on X. "What surprised me is the weakness and lack of self respect of @VivekGRamaswamy. He's actually promoting this episode and praising the person who spewed raw racism to his face. I feel sorry for Vivek."

This is about as straightforward as white nationalism gets in "mainstream" thought.

Ann Coulter has always been a loose cannon, but now all the nuts and bolts seem to have fallen off.  She pretty much flat out states that America is a white country and needs to stay that way.

She basically tells Ramaswamy she could never vote for him because he isnt white.

It’s  dumb, but members of  other group says things like this all the time.

You had the actual candidates, not a pundit looking for attention, demanding race loyalty from voters  in your last democratic  mayoral primary.

She also derides Catholics because Catholicism , when it hasnt been assimilated into WASP thinking , worships the poor, and she says that all immigrants should be young and good looking.

Coulter is not as popular as she once was, but it is silly to deny she represents a sizable segment of right wing "intellectualism".

Now we will hear "who cares about Ann Coulter?"

But her "truths" resonate throughout the so called intellectual underpinning of conservatism in the U.S.   Ramaswamy, who is not a WASP , completely agrees she is correct.

The forefront intellectual arm of conservatives today, the Claremont Institute and its network (DeSantis's Florida for example),  is in complete agreement with Coulter's point of view.  Does the low level MAGA nitwit articulate these thoughts? Not on an intellectual level of course, but it is what "taking back our country" refers to.

So how did Obama get elected?

I dont recall Obama saying that America should be a "black" country, or a "white" one, so what is your point ?

She also briefly disparages Native Americans by name because they dont produce economic value like whites do.
