What a cruel, indecent POS. As some who helped her mom get a homeless day center off the ground, and watched the incredible work her mom did to help countless homeless reunite with their families or get the helping hand they needed to live productive lives, I can’t imagine being this awful as a human being. Which explains why I’m proudly NOT MAGA and working so hard to defeat this ilk.

Johnny McEntee, senior advisor to Project 2025, claims he distributes fake money to homeless people so that when they use it, they will be arrested.

He asserts that he does this to help "clean up the street."

In May 2023, it was announced that McEntee was joining  The Heritage Foundation 's  Project 2025  as a senior advisor.

ABC News correspondent  Jonathan Karl  wrote in November 2023 that in the closing weeks of the Trump presidency McEntee worked with  Douglas Macgregor  to draft a brief document ordering swift withdrawal of U.S. military forces from Afghanistan and Somalia. The president signed it and it was forwarded to  Kash Patel  at the Pentagon without any review by the legal, military or national security apparatus, nor it being recorded by Derek Lyons, the White House staff secretary responsible for filing and transmitting official presidential orders. After acting defense secretary  Christopher Miller  and Joint Chiefs chairman  Mark Milley  went to the White House to inquire about the order, it was rescinded.

Pan handling, aka begging, is pretty much illegal everywhere.[]

The article is about a piece of shit friend of Trumps, not the legalities of begging.

Asking for money is protected by the First Amendment.  If it becomes aggressive, then it may be illegal depending on the applicable statute.

Reactionaries would know this if they actually cared about the Constitution in any way, shape, or form.

I am not enamored by the “plight” of many homeless people.     A good portion of them are homeless by choice.    And before my friends on the left get on their high horse and call bullshit, spend a couple nights with me at the shelter I volunteer at.

Otherwise, shut the fuck up because you have no first hand experience to go by.

It is amazing that anyone could look at this article and think it is about the lack of worth of homeless people.

Yeah, reality bites at times.

Tough to see sometimes though living in a safe little bubble.

The article is about the unethical or illegal conduct by a Trump lackey, not the worth of homeless people.

Isn't it illegal just to possess counterfeit money?

I believe only if one intends or attempts to purchase something with said currency. Doesn't Monopoly Money count as counterfeit currency?

Since stores don't usually check bills under 50 if he was distributing decent counterfeit 5's I wonder if anyone would ever get arrested at all.

And in the slight chance they did get arrested where the bills came from would be of alot more interest than who tried to spend a 5.

Arrest him for distributing phony US currency (it is a crime) and then he may be arrested by a wacko LEO from Minneapolis that will kneel on his neck for a bit.

The article at the link stated "The full force of the law needs to come down on McEntee."  They seem to be saying he has not been charged.  Is the law slow or is lying in the video?

This reminds me of a funny story, my ship was docked in San Diego so me and some buds went out for a night on the town.  Anyway enroute to the first bar some bum hit me up for some change, so feeling generous I gave him a Cdn $ fiver.  Lol he chased me down a block later and gave it back saying he couldn't use it so I took it back and spent it later that night at a bar that accepted it at par with the US$
