I'd wait to hear the verdict first before celebrating. You could be disappointed.

There is indication from the questions asked that the jury accepted the evidence that falsification occurred. The question will be on Trumps intent.

Trump stated earlier that he had nothing to do with the entries on the books as an accounting person set it up as that with a drop down menu and saw Cohen and therefore assumed it was a lawyer expense.

Then it wouldn't have anything to do with the jury decision.  Would it?

As defense counsel, quick verdicts make me nervous. Longer deliberations kind of imply a lot more "reasonable doubt," and give me hope. Of course, it's not always like that.

It doesnt seem that a "not guilty" would come so fast after having the testimony re-read this morning, but who knows?

Here is the conviction all the MAGA posters keep denying about their saints guilt.  Of course they will deny the conviction since their cult leader can do no wrong in their eyes.

Well, it looks like the judge accomplished what he was sent in to do....get a guilty verdict on Trump at all costs.

We all know he was "randomly picked" to hear this case.

The simple solution is this verdict will be overthrown on appeal, but it doesn't matter to this judge or Bragg.

They did what they were told to do.

Well, it looks like the judge accomplished what he was sent in to do..

Of course, guilty on all counts, unanimous and beyond a reasonable doubt and you claim that this was a rigged trial.

When Trump is accused of crimes his supporters cry 'where is the indictment?'.

When indicted his supporters cry 'where is the proof?'.

When convicted by a jury his supporters cry 'rigged'.

9.1.1  author  JohnRussell  replied to  TᵢG @9.1    6 months ago

Good point.

It was always "he's never been indicted. "

Then it was "he has never been convicted."

Now it will be , since he has been convicted   -  "He's never been convicted by an honest jury"

There is literally no end to it.

No, it never got to the proof. And we still don't know what real "crime" was committed. As someone just said on TV, the real verdict will come in November

Of course not ... there is nothing ever that will be considered proof by Trump supporters that Trump did anything wrong.

On the plus side, with a guilty verdict NY doesn’t have to worry about getting burned down tonight, conservatives aren’t animals like our progressive brethren and don’t burn cities down because things didn’t go their way.

Now Joe Biden cannot even buy time in the news cycle.  The news will be all Trump, all the time, likely for the next two weeks.  And Trump gets another bump in the news cycle in July when the Republicans nominate Trump.  And now there's a Hunter bomb Democrats have to defuse, too.

The only way Biden can grab headlines in the foreseeable future is with a monumental fuckup.  C'mon, Joe, you can do it.  The Fat Lady is just warming up, folks.

Now what? Will Merchan be stupid enough to make Trump do a perp walk for a victimless "crime"? This sad decision should really fire up the base, including independents and unhappy Democrats. If these deranged leftists think this will slow Trump down or defeat him, I think they will be sadly disappointed. If they can do this to Trump, just think what they can do to you and me?

I bet the jury knew this abomination of reversible errors would be overturned on appeal, so they just wanted to get out of there. Since Trump will be free to campaign and any appeals unlikely to heard to before the election, this clown show will end up being a total failure for the progressives.

Sane leaders would realize if you are going to try the leader of a Political Party, and a former President to boot, it has to be for a crime that everyone agrees is legitimate. Not for a secret  misdemeanor that have never been used against anyone before, not seven years later, not by a politicized prosecutor who literally campaigned against Trump. Credibility matters.

SO many people cheering today were 100% wrong (on this very site just a few days ago) about the identity of the second crime Trump is alleged to have committed. How can they possibly feel good about this when they themselves were bamboozled about what a former President is being charged with?  It's rotten.

How could anyone possibly believe this verdict would be credible? All the Democrats have accomplished is making a martyr of Trump and discrediting the cases that have an actual legitimate basis.  Now he gets to lump them all together as part of a partisan witch-hunt.

This is where one runs into problems, it was Trump who turned himself into a martyr albeit a fake one.

Lol. did Trump charge Hillary for committing the exact same crime he is alleged to have committed? Nope.

Was Obama indicted for murdering an American citizen? Nope.
