Exactly, these agents sprang to action while the ones in Uvalde cowered in fear.

I’m an atheist but if I was a believer, I might believer that God worked through humans some time.

If not God, Trump remains the luckiest candidate that I’ve seen.

But

you mentioned Uvalde which allows it to be responded to. At least that is what the leftists tell us here.

meh, it was only a matter of hours before the thumper heavy rightwing dragged divine or special providence into the story. despite today's tragic event, it's always best to focus on the positives. trump wasn't seriously hurt and there's probably going to be a lot more last minute seating available in the bleachers behind trump at his next open air rally.

I’m not so sure. One Secret Service protocols will be updated and I was amazed at how calm the crowd remain with 3 supporters shot, Trump shot as well as the gunman.  Not only calm but defiant.

I sometimes wonder why people care.

I could care less if someone is faithless.

But the faithless seem very vested in bagging on the faithful.    Especially in here.

A lot of conservatives believe Trump has a special relationship with God. Although that is absurd on the face of it,  why would God save Trump but not all the kids killed in school shootings ?

A lot of liberals believe Biden is a faithful Catholic.    So whether you admit it or not, both sides have their own share of religious hypocrisy.

I’m not the one saying God saved Trump.

I say a bad shot or simple luck saved him.    Much to the consternation of some folks here unfortunately.

I called antifa, pussies.    I reiterate, I have no problem per se with atheists.    When I do, it’s when they mock people of faith and try to project themselves as somehow superior.

Know what I mean?

That is too disheartening a thought to contemplate.

Are you saying you believe that God "intervened" for Trump ?

Why on earth would God intervene for Trump and not all the kids that have been killed in schools?

The guy missed

Close up photos make it look like a piece of Trumps upper right ear was nipped.  Blood spatter suggests the shot came from behind.  Given the reported shooter location, that hit might mean that Trump had his head turned to his left.  Any other position might be been a fatal head shot.

Again, luckiest candidate that I’ve ever seen.

Call me crazy. But I did notice something in today's footage, and went back and checked a couple other rally videos.

Trump has a habit I don't think anyone has noticed , I didn't until now.

When he is speaking, and he turns his head left or right in a dramatic jesture,he has the habit of leaning forward.

That habit may very well have saved his life today, and I doubt he is even aware he does it.

He was shot in the ear.  Leaning forward isn’t going to cause you to get shot in the ear instead of the head.

It’s too bad that here we aren’t allowed to say what we all should be saying about this.  But one thing we can say is that if you believe in god then you should be questioning his priorities.

Maybe I should clarify my thought, at it's base it was simply luck imo it went the way it did.

If my assessment and opinion is correct and he had not moved, the bullet impact area from what I see would have been that brainstem nerve bundle at the back of the head usually seen from the side as just behind and below the ear.

The bullet followed the same path of travel, a straight line, his movement looking right and leaning forward changed the position and orientation of the intended impact point resulting in a clipped ear instead of a usually fatal head shot.

That to me put it in the category of luck , be it good or bad, is up to the individual.

I think that you are correct.  A WH photographer got an amazing photo of probably the first shot and you can see the air turbulence trail as it passed an inch in front of Trump’s face.  Incredibly, the shooter, with apparently no scope, got Trump’s ear with his second shot.

If Trump had been looking forward, both shots might have got him in the brain.
