A loner with bad skin made fun of constantly by his high school peers.  Doesnt sound like a "leftist" fanatic to me.  He sounds like the kind of kid that did Columbine.

Really?

So no leftist fanatics ever had bad skin or were bullied by his high school peers?

Also, if he was like the kid from Columbine why didn't he shoot up his high school- instead of trying to take out Trump?

Is anyone supposed to consider that comment rational?

Agreed John, he doesn't look like a lefty or a righty. Just a bullied. mentally unstable, angry kid. It's doubtful he had any set political feelings at such a young age. He probably did it for the same reasons that Klebold and Harris did.....going out in a blaze of glory and being remembered after his death.

That's the point I've been making since yesterday.  It's more likely he was mentally unstable rather than motivated politically, but we are just at the beginning of the investigation and we should know more after the evidence has been gathered and analyzed.

Also from your own link.

Crooks was registered as a Republican but made donations to left-wing organizations such as ActBlue. Many speculate he registered to vote against Trump in the primaries, as many Democrats have vowed to do.

Yes John, Democrats are known to register as Republicans in order to vote in Republican primaries. Knowing full well they can vote for whomever they want to in the general elections.

What Republicans aren't known for is donating to Democrat PACs and organizations.

Trying to label this kid as anything but a confused, troubled kid is likely a fools errand.

At 20, most don’t know what they don’t know yet.

I agree.  That is probably what it is going to come down to - that he was a very troubled young man.  But let's allow the authorities to do their work, and then we should have a better idea about what his motivation might have been.
