Michigan Republican highlights endorsement from Jan. 6 participant and Proud Boys supporter

Michigan Republican congressional candidate Anthony Hudson made an Instagram post last week featuring an endorsement from Londa Gatt, a far-right organizer who participated in former President Donald Trump’s Stop the Steal rally on Jan. 6.
In the post, Hudson posted a quote from Gatt, which said Hudson “has vowed to fight to protect our children from the radical indoctrination of CRT & LGBT Ideology.
“Anthony supports President Trump & is truly compassionate about taking our nation back. He will be the voice for ‘We The People.’”
Gatt is the “Midwest regional supervisor” of the Bikers for Trump organization and a supporter of the Proud Boys . She told MLive in September 2020 that she drove over 100 miles from Oakland County to see them at a Kalamazoo rally and that she supports them despite not being able to join because she’s a woman.
Several members of the Proud Boys were convicted of seditious conspiracy last October for their actions on and before the Jan. 6 riots, earning them multi-year prison sentences .
According to the Associated Press , Gatt organized busloads of Trump supporters for the Stop the Steal rally in Washington D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021. Gatt reportedly climbed a scaffolding outside the Capitol Building to take a picture but claimed to have left when the rally turned violent.
Gatt also has ties to the American Patriot Council (APC), a group that organizes armed rallies to oppose Antifa and Black Lives Matter as well as promote Trump’s 2020 election-denying rhetoric. Some of the individuals who attempted to kidnap and possibly kill Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) were reportedly photographed attending an APC rally in 2020.
Hudson declined to comment on whether he knew Gatt participated in the Stop the Steal rally.
Last month, Hudson garnered national criticism when he posted an AI-generated audio clip of Martin Luther King Jr. endorsing his congressional bid. (King has been dead since 1968.)
After initially apologizing and blaming a campaign volunteer for the “STUPID and DISRESPECTFUL video,” Hudson later retracted his apology and contended that King would support him if he were alive today.
While denying commenting on Gatt, Hudson changed his explanation of the video again. He said via email on Wednesday that Heartland Signal’s previous reporting on the video included “a fake article about a fake ad that I did not approve or create.” The now-deleted video was posted on Hudson’s TikTok account and ended with him saying “I’m Anthony Hudson, and I approve this message.” And in a now-deleted X post, Hudson acknowledged the video as being created by his campaign and put his support behind the campaign staff member that created it.
“Upon further review of the MLK video in question, I decided to not only not keep my campaign staffer, but also give him a raise as I believe MLK would be disgusted at the complete suffering of Flint Michigan residents under the current administration’s watch,” Hudson wrote.
Michigan’s 8 th Congressional District seat is currently held by Rep. Dan Kildee (D), who is not seeking reelection. The race is currently designated as a tossup by 270 to Win, with three Democrats and three Republicans set to appear on the ballot for the Aug. 6 primary election . According to Federal Election Commission reports, Hudson’s opponents are heavily self-funding their campaigns, with Paul Junge giving himself over $1 million in loans.
at the end of the video he has the fake King say "ok now I'm going back to where I came from".
Is it only me or is there a hint of the southern attitude of conservative whites who thought only they knew how to treat blacks correctly?
Taking it back where, to a time one hundred years or more ago?
