Trump's gonna be Trump.
His creepy, bulging eyeballs always remind me of a SpongeBob character.
This is kind of the crux of the matter. Trump wanted them to do whatever they had to do to stop the vote count. That is the only thing that mattered to him . If the mob could have accomplished that by setting themselves on fire he would have been good with it.
What did he mean when he said do it peacefully?
Do you think Trump thought they could stop the vote count by peacefully protesting? He's a dumbass but he's not that dumb.
He wanted them to do whatever it took.
So the he didn't really mean that, approach.
It was already a known thing that there were enough votes in Congress to force a delay before he even spoke.
During his speech at the ellipse he suggested that Pence should listen to John Eastman.
So? Is it illegal to tell the VP to listen to a daft legal argument?
Eastman's plan was to use the law on Trump's behalf, not to overthrow the government.
