Beyoncé  is in Chicago, and getting ready to pop out for  Kamala Harris  on the final night of the Democratic National Convention ... TMZ has learned.

Multiple sources in the know tell us Queen Bey will be the big surprise performer as VP Harris officially accepts the Democratic party's nomination to run for president.

As you'd expect, Beyoncé's appearance is a huge deal, not only for Harris and the Party but in Chicago as well. We're told Chicago PD is on high alert as it's involved in security for Beyoncé at the United Center arena. Beyoncé Performing at DNC's Final Night in Chicago (tmz.com)

Dog-gone it. Bey is going to be stellar! Taylor Swift would just blow the roof x2 off the place (even if she just came and stand there)!

(But, can you hear it. . . already. . . Donald is going to say that people only showed up and tuned in tonight for Bey! He will gripe about 'crowd-size.' Oh, it's coming in a tweet in five, four, three, two. . .one. . . .)

This is really a good convention and its interesting with interesting people. It's not a 'stuffy' set of events! Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly are just special in every way!

Pink is performing and it reminds me of Randy Jackson ("American Idol" judge): 'Pink, you got that "big ole voice" that can fill an arena and sing the phone book!'

This convention is riveting. Each night I have watched it. Not even sure I would do so throughout. . . but have missed none of it (even if I had to play 'snippets' back on DVR).

Okay. I remember something about it now. It was a personal controversial moment for a celebrity. . . and she survived the hit. . . as did a bunch of celebrities doing similar things. . .including PGA golfers who joined a Saudi golf league. I don't pretend to understand how politics should work with world-wide celebrity fame. . . and fortune-making but these individuals are 'independent' entertainers and they excel or suffer consequences based on their fan bases. . . not political party politics!

Apparently, it was not a 'consideration' to be held against 'Bey' as the song "Freedom" by Beyoncé was used in a political campaign (anyway).

I am not arguing about it.

Nor did you read anything from me passing judgment on her for her decision.

I know money is very important to some folks, even more than personal integrity.

Beyoncé’s controversial Dubai payday

[Excerpt.]

Singer criticised by human rights campaigners for lucrative appearance

In November, Robbie Williams defended his decision to perform in  Qatar  during the World Cup. He was criticised for agreeing to sing during the tournament, due to the country’s human rights record, stance on homosexuality and treatment of migrant workers.

“Of course, I don’t condone any abuses of human rights anywhere,” he told Italian newspaper  la Repubblica .

“But, that being said, if we’re not condoning human rights abuses anywhere, then it would be the shortest tour the world has ever known : I wouldn’t even be able to perform in my own kitchen.”

This is in 'furtherance' of the pass these entertainers have to be given/granted in order to make a living and maybe even change some hearts and minds - for surely, some hearts and minds will be affected by their acceptance and their physical 'visits.'  In addition, throughout history black entertainers performed in venues where they had to enter through the kitchen and exit the same after their 'sets'—just to make pennies to feed themselves. Entertainers ride the 'edge' and are known for their creative dispositions/solutions.

That is the best I can do with this. At my age, I feel that I am looking in on these 'rights' controversies regarding new and/or current celebrities anyway.

But, I am not 'able' to just leave this that open-ended. When any celebrity is an elected official. . . not simply representing themselves this type of activity would come with some substantive stipulations or harsh consequences.

In America, 4739 children and teens were killed by firearms in one year. And what did Stephen Miller say? Nothing. What did the GOP say? Nothing. What did MAGA say? Nothing. You think Donald Trump getting a papercut is a national tragedy, but 13 American children getting slaughtered per day is not?! Don't ever lecture us about Pro-Life. You're pro-Trump, pro-chaos, pro-power, pro-money, pro-guns, pro-"bibles", pro-everything BUT LIFE. And we are voting your vile little party and your fat old Satan out of existence!

Compare and contrast Harris' speech with the rambling of Trump's speech.   That would encourage those of us against Trump.
