Sen. Lindsey Graham tried to claim that the happiness and joy caused by Kamala Harris is not real.

Graham said on CNN's State Of The Union:

If you're a Republican, you saw a hate fest. You saw a hate fest full of insults.

And Donald Trump said to Barack Obama, you're a nice man after President Obama insulted and jabbed President Trump continuously. It was designed to draw him into an exchange of insults. It was light on policy, heavy on insults.

So I told President Trump then and now, you're going to win this thing if you focus on policy. Americans are not joyful when they go to the gas station and fill up their car. They're not joyful when they make their mortgage payment. They're not joyful when they go to the grocery store. People are hurting.

And this whole joy lovefest doesn't exist in the real world. Gas was $1.87 a gallon when President Trump left office. We had the most secure border in the last 40 years. Inflation was down, not up, and the world was not on fire.

Graham's claim that the joy over the Harris campaign isn't real is a sign that Republicans can't accept the reality that their dark and joyless nominee is being rejected currently by a majority of Americans.

Sen. Graham retreated into delusion to claim that the joy doesn't exist, and his proof is that things were really bad during COVID. The part that Graham leaves out is that gas prices were low when Trump left office because people were dying and couldn't leave their houses due to the pandemic. The pandemic was worse in the United States because Trump mismanaged it.

Republicans can't accept the reality that people want to be happy and move forward, and the idea that the Americans might actually be joyful over the Harris campaign seems to break the mind of Lindsey Graham.

I saw Graham, JD Vance, Tom Cotton and Dan Crenshaw on tv or you tube this morning. All four of them spun Trump's bizarre and offensive statements into nothingness and said America should vote for him because "gas prices were cheaper when Trump was president.

To his credit, Bill Maher told Crenshaw that we can survive high gas prices but cannot survive four more years of Trump.

I also saw all those appearances but not one gave a single honest sincere answer. On a one to ten scale they were negative effective!

Subzero!

I can almost agree there, but they did answer to their names..

On a one to ten scale they were negative effective!

That would depend upon the audience who those remarks were intended for. Republican viewers might have been swayed by some of the facts presented without reference to time, condition and place. That is the intended audience that these people were sent out to mollify and get back to the fold.

Isn't Lindsey Graham, according to J.D. Vance a "childless cat-lady-man"? Lindsey, if that is true then you might be pitching for the wrong team!

Yet, we have a pretty good idea how Trump, his klan and the hardcore MAGAs speak about Lindsey Graham behind his back, don't we? Poor Lindsey has more skeletons in his closet than nancy hoop skirts

I just found out something: Lindsey Graham had a 'big lie' problem over a military service 'bio' he allowed to stand about himself. . . and he survived it:

Lindsey Graham's war lie: Bigger than Richard Blumenthal's

lindsey_graham_the_original_pol_who_lied_about_being_a_vet.jpg

A young, cool, "catlady-man' according to J.D. Vance!  - CB.

According to  his (current) official bio , "Graham logged six-and-a-half years of service on active duty as an Air Force lawyer." After he left the active duty force, he joined the South Carolina Air National Guard. During the first Gulf War, Graham was called up to act as staff judge advocate at McEntire Air National Guard Base in South Carolina. As staff judge advocate, Graham's duties "included briefing pilots on the law of armed conflict, preparing legal documents for deploying troops, and providing legal services for family members of the South Carolina Air National Guard. " His service never took him out of South Carolina.

And so, naturally, for years afterward, Lindsey Graham referred to himself in his official biography and elsewhere as "an Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm veteran."

The truth came out in 1998, while then-Rep. Graham was working hard to impeach Bill Clinton.  The Hill newspaper broke the story that he was calling himself a vet despite not being one.  Graham insisted he had never explicitly said he served overseas or saw combat, but any reading of his official bio made it obvious that he wanted to people to think he did. And it worked!

Yet almost all of the standard political biographies about Graham describe his military record inaccurately. "USAF, 1990, Pursian (sic) Gulf" is how Who's Who in America and affiliated biographical books list him. The Almanac of American Politics states that Graham "was called up to active duty and served in the Gulf War."

Although Graham said he is not responsible for the Who's Who entry and considers it inaccurate, he does acknowledge providing the information for his web site and other biographies that list him as a war veteran.

Guess the Air Force and the Air Guard like having a Senator.

Except Graham represents South Carolina in the US Senate...

Exactly, twice I’ve had to answer Senator questions when the Army planned to terminate programs.  Both times the Senator began with, “I want it clear that my interest in this matter has nothing to do with the contractor manufacturing this program in my state, but rather my interest in national defense”.  I answered, “Of course”.

If it's a unit citation, he can wear it or claim it in the Army or Air Force.

The Navy and USMC used to be much more strict about personally earning said citations.

It usually comes down to the E9s interpretation of the units' rules.

I have no problem with Graham's choices of which candy to wear.

Which Lindsay Graham made the comments?

There seems to be many versions.
