Republican Voters Against Trump

@AccountableGOP

Sen. Rick Scott on Trump, who incited a mob on the Capitol in an attempt to overturn an election he lost: “They’re never going to blame Biden/Harris or any other Democrat for the violent rhetoric…Trump’s not a threat to democracy. Actually, he’s fighting to save democracy.”

Donald Trump was fine with a plan to take away the votes of millions of people ,  and have himself declared the new president by Mike Pence.

Rick Scott and similar are trying to gaslight the American public.

It's not only pathetic, it's intentionally misleading.  Bush filed with the court to stop the 2020 Florida election recount, not Gore.

Al  Gore became  the first Presidential Candidate to contest an election before the judiciary when he filed a lawsuit to overturn the florida certification of Bush's win.

  1. VP Pence, presiding over the joint session (or   Senate Pro Tempore   Grassley , if Pence recuses himself), begins to open and count the ballots, starting with Alabama (without conceding that the procedure, specified by the   Electoral Count Act , of going through the States alphabetically is required).

  1. When he gets to Arizona, he announces that he has multiple slates of electors, and so is going to defer decision on that until finishing the other States. This would be the first break with the procedure set out in the Act.

  1. At the end, he announces that because of the ongoing disputes in the 7 States, there are no electors that can be deemed validly appointed in those States. That means the total number of "electors appointed"     the language of the 12th Amendment     is 454. This reading of the 12th Amendment has also been advanced by Harvard Law Professor   Laurence Tribe . A "majority of the electors appointed" would therefore be 228. There are at this point 232 votes for Trump, 222 votes for Biden. Pence then gavels President Trump as re-elected.

This is from the Eastman memo, which Trump approved.

There were no " disputes in the 7 States",  all of them, and all 50 states had certified their election results and their electors.

How dare you compare anyone else to this ?

ow dare you compare anyone else to this ?

Trump and Gore both challenged  states' certification of an election after they certified their election results and their electors. .   The democrats, just like Trump, tried to keep Congress for certifying the count of every election  they've lost this century.

The date on that story is Nov 28, 2000.

If Trump had stopped on Nov 28th he wouldnt be in all the trouble he is now.  Gore made his appeal publicly, Trump made his plans in secrecy and conspiracy, and after being told he would likely be breaking the law, continued up until literally the last minute trying to have the plan in the eastman memo go forward.

The two are not comparable. If you cant see that then it is hopeless.

So all Pence had to do was go along with the deception.

Crooked Donald and the GOPers who sustain him are out of their minds. Donald's and Rick's "America" is in their effing heads and may it stay there. . . now, if the country can once again open the asylums for 'intake' we can safely put them all away!

You know you've lost the thread when you claim Trump supporters are shooting at Trump.   It's just batshit crazy time now on the left.

Routh was a Trump supporter until he wasnt.  He claims Trump disappointed him. He is not a leftist, although people here desperately want him to be.

Lol. What an embarrassing argument for you. "The ACT blue donating Trump shooter is MAGA."

It's like there's a competition among Blueanon to see who can create the most ridiculous denial of reality. Option 1 is calling the assassination attempts hoaxes, option 2 is calling Democratic donors who try and kill Trump MAGA. The homeless guys screaming at the moon  on the street corner are more rational at this point.
