Zelensky Cuts Off Trump As He Brags About Putin Relationship
By: Mediaite
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky cut off former President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump during a gaggle with reporters on Friday, musing that he hoped Trump had a better relationship with himself than Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
The awkward moment came after Trump was asked about his expectations for his private meeting with Zelensky.
"Look, this is a meeting, and we have a big race going on right now. I guess 37 days left and we're leading in the polls, so we'll see how it all works out. Hopefully it'll work out, but if it does, we're gonna work very much with both parties to try and get this settled and get it worked out," began Trump, discussing the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. "It has to end at some point, it has to end. He's [Zelensky] gone through hell, and his country has gone through hell like few countries have ever, like it's happened anywhere — nobody's ever seen anything like it. It's a terrible situation."
Trump went on to say that he and Zelensky had a "great relationship" and that Zelensky had been "a piece of steel" when Democrats voted to impeach him over withholding aid from Ukraine for political reasons during his first term in office.
"He said, 'President Trump did absolutely nothing wrong.' He said it loud and clear, and the impeachment hoax died right there," recalled Trump.
"So we have a very good relationship," he continued. "And I also have a very good relationship, as you know, with President Putin. And I think, if we win, I think we're going to get it resolved very quickly. Very, I really think we're going to get it -"
At that point Zelensky interjected to say "I hope we have more good relations with us," and gesture toward himself and Trump.
"Oh, I see," replied Trump. "Yeah, but, you know, it takes two to tango, you know, and we will, we're have a good meeting today. And I think the fact that we're even together today is a very good sign. And hopefully we'll have a good victory because [if] the other side wins, I don't think you're going to have victories with anything, to be honest with you. So we're going to sit down, just discuss it, and if we have a win, I think long before January 20, before I would take the presidency — it's January 20 — but long before that, I think that we can work out something that's good for both sides. It's time."

Zelensky Visibly Agitated As Trump Dominates Meeting, Citing 'Very Good Relationship' With Putin - Gulf Insider
2-3 minutes 9/28/2024
Tensions were certainly on display before and during the Trump- Zelensky meeting at Trump Tower in New York. Going into the meeting, both men looked stern-faced, with Trump making a series of casual remarks which appeared aimed at gently belittling the Ukrainian leader and putting him in his place. This comes days after Zelensky went after J.D. Vance, and came close to directly criticizing Trump himself for calling for ceasefire and talks with Moscow.
“ We have a very good relationship, and I also have a very good relationship, as you know, with President Putin . And I think if we win I think we’re going to get it resolved very quickly,” Trump said in comments made before the press going into the meeting. But that caused an agitated Zelensky to poke back :
As always it's all about him. Z shows great restraint.
Z is very likely to be working with Trump when the election dust settles. He best act civil in the meantime.
LOL.
Zelenskyy isn't a cowering republican.
Trump isn't a simpering, whimpering, submissive, and cowering democrat.... like Biden.
bet me ! He doesall the above when around Putin
Trump is Putin's submissive dog. Everyone is laughing at Trump for being such a pathetic, petty, worthless pissant.
Whatever it is that Trump exudes is all pretense, just like all the crap he foists upon the gullible.
working together at Mc Donalds ...?
