Tucker Carlson praised Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for being "the only adult" in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine that began with his invasion of his western neighbor nearly three years ago in an episode of his show released on Wednesday.
During a conversation with Glenn Greenwald , the pair lauded President-elect Donald Trump for acknowledging that "nuclear war is the worst thing," as Carlson put it.
"I've talked about it so many times. And I think it goes back to when Trump was president in the early stages of the presidency, every time Trump talks about the prospect of nuclear war, he knows that he's limited in what everything he can divulge, but he's so clearly trying to signal and he often says it: These weapons are of a different universe than even the ones we dropped on Japan," chimed in Greenwald.
Moving on to the Biden administration's decision to give Ukrainian forces their blessing to use an American missile system to strike more targets inside of Russia, Carlson mused that "it puts us in this remarkable moment where the only adult is Vladimir Putin."
"This person, we have been told, is Hitler, and deranged, crazy, dying of nine different kinds of cancer, can't be trusted. Like the only reason we're not — I mean, we're all relying on his restraint. That's just a fact right now. How weird is that?" he submitted.

Carlson and Greenwald went on to mock those who criticize the propaganda of authoritarian Russia and China while turning a blind eye to American propaganda.
"Right after Russia invaded Ukraine and Western governments decided they wanted full on support for Ukraine and this very simple minded narrative that they fed their public," said Greenwald.
"After they started the war, I mean the Biden administration started — that's my view of it. They knew that Russia would invade if they publicly pushed Zelensky to join NATO, so they did that, Kamala Harris did that, and Russia invaded. My view is they started this war," argued Carlson.
The former Fox News host later claimed to have "never been pro-Putin" and not to have "strong feelings either way."
He was previously derided by voices across the political spectrum over videos he filmed during a trip he took to Russia to interview Putin earlier this year in which he expressed his wonder at and admiration for Russian grocery stores and subway stations.

He is a treasonous piece of shit isnt he.
He knows he's lying when he says "...that's my view of it."
He should join Steven Segal and live in Russia I’m sure that he would enjoy Siberia when he shot off his mouth.

Why would Putin start a nuclear war now when he can wait two more months and get everything he wants? It makes no sense at all, but Carlson and Greenwald, two of the most unAmerican right wing pundits around, are trying to whip up fear of nuclear war because the US is trying to help Ukraine get into the strongest stance possible before Trump sells them out at the negotiating table. Carlson and Greenwald want Ukraine to be in the weakest position possible when negotiations start.
He’s such a pinhead. This need to just reflexively blame the other party for everything is so childish and toxic.
Ukraine has had treaties with Europe and America since the 90s, and has been talking about joining NATO for almost 20 years, so that didn’t just start when Biden took office.
Obama largely ignored commitments to Ukraine and Russia annexed Crimea, so staying out of it didn’t help.
And I guess we’re just going to ignore the arms that Trump sent to Ukraine, and the fact that Russia starting stacking up troops on the Ukrainian border in March and April of 2021- before Biden had a chance to do much of anything to impact the region.
