Oklahoma state Sen. Shane Jett (R-Shawnee) has introduced Senate Bill 477, a piece of legislation that would deregulate the sale of donkey milk if signed into law.

The bill's text would amend the Oklahoma and Milk Products Act of 1994, which regulates the production, processing and distribution of milk products to preserve public health, to exclude donkey milk.

Jett did not respond to a Heartland Signal request to comment on why donkey milk is a legislative priority for him in 2025.

Jett, who is the chair of the Oklahoma branch of the far-right Freedom Caucus, has served in the Oklahoma state legislature since 2004 as both a senator and representative (2004-10). Last April, Jett criticized a bill to restrict corporal punishment in Oklahoma schools, citing Proverbs 13:24.

One Republican state lawmaker has filed new legislation to address the apparently pressing problem of donkey milk shortages.

Heartland Signal reports   that Oklahoma state Sen. Shane Jett is pushing a new bill to deregulate the sale of donkey milk in his state.

"The bill’s text would amend the   Oklahoma and Milk Products Act   of 1994, which regulates the production, processing and distribution of milk products to preserve public health, to exclude donkey milk," writes Heartland Signal.

The publication questioned why deregulating donkey milk was such an important priority for Jett, although his office has not yet responded to a request for comment.

Jett has long been one of the most colorful members of the Oklahoma state legislature, adds Heartland Signal, as in the past he has railed against proposed laws against corporal punishment by citing Bible verses praising the "rod of discipline."

He has also signed onto   MAGA Oklahoma superintendent Ryan Walters's   scheme to put Bibles in every single classroom in the state.

I have a feeling that somehow this has something to do with the Bible.

As it is written:

When the children of Israel left Egypt, they had nothing to eat but wafers of unleavened bread, some wine-- and gallons of raw donkey milk!

It was all well documented on their late model iPhones!

That's the problem with kids today-- they ain't got no respect!

What they need is a good whoopin'-- a few merciless beatings with a staunch rod--- then being fiorced to drink Donkey Milk!

That'll learn 'em!!!
