Vice President JD Vance told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday that President Donald Trump would decide the future of Greenland without any input from Europe.

For months, Trump has talked about the US acquiring the autonomous island that has long been a territory of Denmark.

The Danish have said they are not interested in selling the mineral-rich island while a majority of those who inhabit Greenland have no interest in becoming American citizens.

Trump has portrayed Greenland as strategically important to US interests, citing threats from Russia and China. He has also implied the Danish might not have a say in whether its largest territory is ceded.

On Sunday Morning Futures, Bartiromo asked Vance if he expected an acquisition of the vast territory during the next four years.

Bartiromo asked, "Do you expect the US to acquire Greenland?" Vance replied:

I think it's possible, Maria. So here's the thing I think a lot of folks don't appreciate about Greenland: it's really important to our national security. There are sea lanes there that the Chinese use, that the Russians use that, frankly, Denmark - which controls Greenland - it's not doing its job and being a good ally. So you have to ask yourself, how are we going to solve that problem, solve our own national security? If that means that we need to take more territorial interest in Greenland, that is what President Trump is going to do because he doesn't care about what the Europeans scream at us, he cares about putting the interests of America's citizens first.
There's another angle to this whole Greenland thing, Maria, that people don't realize. You've got probably 55,000 people living on Greenland who are not actually happy with Danish government. They've got great natural resources there, they've got an incredibly bountiful country that the Danes aren't letting them develop and explore. Of course, Donald Trump would take a different approach if he was the leader of Greenland.

So. . .now we will become 'that' country in the world that takes over other peoples lands in the 'name' of they don't like their government. . . So when do we invade North Korea? They don't like their government. This is all threats of aggression. Trying to entice another country to surrender to 'that' nation with the biggest 'dick' preening in it. How did it work in Afghanistan? Iraq?

So much for western countries that do not threaten to invade their 'neighbors.' That is going out the window with 'that' guy. Why didn't republicans and conservatives see this coming? Oh, they were too busy "winning" . . .and sticking to their fellow citizens.

Donald Trump and MAGA our own homegrown bullies.

Decide what? To invade and take Greenland by force if NATO ally Denmark says no?

The Danes should tell Trump to fuck off.

It looks like that's what Canada and Mexico are going to do.  Trump is taking the country into hell.

Vice President JD Vance told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday that President Donald Trump would decide the future of Greenland without any input from Europe.

If Trump thinks he is going to unilaterally decide about Greenland irrespective of what Denmark wants, then he is putting the U.S. at war with NATO.   Undoubtedly, his close partner and ally Putin is encouraging him to do just that.

Denmark - which controls Greenland - it's not doing its job and being a good ally

That's a total lie which is exactly what we would expect from Vance.
