Darren Beattie, a former Donald Trump speechwriter who was fired in 2018 after CNN  revealed  he spoke at a conference attended by White nationalists, has been elevated to a top job at the State Department

related

CNN’s   Van Jones   laid into President   Donald Trump   and one of the newest appointees in his administration,   Darren Beattie .

On Sunday, it was   reported   that Secretary of State   Marco Rubio   will   appoint   Beattie as acting Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy. Beattie was fired from his speechwriting position during Trump’s first term after he was found to have attended a meeting with White nationalists. Now, however, that does not seem to be an impediment to serving in Trump’s second administration.

Shortly after word broke of Beattie’s appointment, a tweet he posted in October began making the rounds.

“Competent white men must be in charge if you want things to work,” he   wrote . “Unfortunately, our entire national ideology is predicated on coddling the feelings of women and minorities, and demoralizing competent white men.”

“Darren  Beattie  has no place in a role representing American values abroad as Acting Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs,” the Anti-Defamation League  said  on the social network X. “Throughout the years,  Beattie  has participated in several conversations and events organized by notorious racists, antisemites and white supremacists and has continuously promoted an array of conspiracy theories, including those related to the Jan. 6 insurrection and the ‘Great Replacement’ theory, embraced by antisemites and white supremacists.”

I wonder if any of the White House press corp will ask Karoline Leavitt why her boss put a racist in a leadership role in the state department.

I guess that's not a white nationalist statement?

Your article only claims that "White Nationals" attended the same conference he did.

The only one I know of making racist comments is Van Jones.

The threshold of being a white nationalist has changed to something similar to what makes you a racist. If you don't drink there kool-aid they can call everyone names.
