Pelosi on Trump hoping economy crashes in 2024: 'Doesn't know what that means to America's working families'
The one president I just don't want to be, Herbert Hoover.

Not exactly what Trump said but close enough for the San Francisco airhead.  I've heard that people in Pelosi's district literally throw shit at the wall.  So, what else can we expect from Nancy Pelosi?

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) blasted former President Trump for saying he hopes the economy crashes within the next 12 months, comments that have sparked widespread criticism from Democrats.

"He calls himself the messiah," Pelosi said on MSNBC's "Inside with Jen Psaki" on Monday night. "I guess he doesn't know much about the messiah."

The Democratic lawmaker continued: "He says he wants the economy to crash. I guess he doesn't know what that means to America's working families."

Earlier Monday, Trump took aim at the current economy under President Biden and predicted it would crash. Trump, the GOP front-runner for the presidential nomination who is itching for an electoral rematch with Biden in November, said he hoped the crash would take place within the next 12 months — before Biden's first term in office is up and before the next presidential term.

Trump said he would not want to be elected and then serve a term similar to former President Hoover, who assumed office in 1929 when the economy seemed stable, just months before the start of the Great Depression.

"We have an economy that's so fragile, and the only reason it's running now is it's running off the fumes of what we did," Trump told interviewer Lou Dobbs. "It's just running off the fumes."

Trump added: "And when there's a crash — I hope it's going to be during this next 12 months because I don't want to be Herbert Hoover. The one president I just don't want to be, Herbert Hoover."

Pelosi called Trump's comments "just another manifestation of the insensitivity and the grotesqueness of this person," arguing they showed the Republican presidential candidate only cares about his political prospects, rather than what's good for the American public.

"He doesn't care what that means to the kitchen table interests of America's working families. Maybe some of his rich friends who pour money into his campaign — because they don't want to have to pay taxes — might take notice of his ineptitude, not understanding that the economy," she said.

Despite Trump's remarks, economists largely say the economic outlook looks promising, in light of the apparent success of the "soft landing" after record-high inflation. White House and Biden campaign aides hit back at Trump's comments on Monday, calling them "vile" and saying they were "revealing twisted true colors."

Pelosi, who has long battled Trump over myriad issues, also knocked him for taking credit for the positive aspects of the current economy.

"That was a stupid statement he made," she said on MSNBC. "He also made an untrue statement. We're not living off his fumes."

"Joe Biden has done a remarkable job as president of the United States. Just around 14 million jobs, maybe more, by now with the latest report. Lowest unemployment. Cut it in half. The path of inflation going down," she continued.

"[Biden] has been remarkable. And he has done it in a way that has justice — social, economic, environmental — justice in every way," Pelosi added. "That's not anything this person would understand."

Red Box Rules

Yep, the topic includes Trump.  Have at it and make Nancy Pelosi proud.

Yeah, Trump is a sack of dog crap.  But the country was a lot better off with Trump in the White House.  That's why Trump is still a better choice than Biden.

Just one metric... Trump LOST 3 million jobs, Biden has added close to 14 million.

Covid cost 9.6 million jobs so Joe's figures are full of shit.

Of the 16.9 million people unemployed in July,  9.6 million (57 percent ) were unable to work because their employer closed or lost business due to the pandemic.

The economy has to add between 150,000 and 200,000 jobs each month just to cover illegal immigrants.  Illegal immigration is the only significant source of new workers to fill those jobs.  An estimated 10 million people have illegally entered the country since Biden took office.  Biden isn't keeping up with his open border.

Biden's magic job creation hasn't shrunk the trade deficit either.  So, what are these new jobs producing?  Political points?

And all the while, trump was golfing.. Maybe had he put forth some effort, we wouldn't have lost so many jobs. Just sayin'.

What do you propose he should have done? It spread like wildfire and the restrictions Fauci and cronies  laid out cost a hell of a lot of those jobs. If people can't go to work or out to eat or shop, the economy inevitably stalls. Use Florida for an example of what it should have looked like.

Yet, like everything else, the former 'president' turd did absolutely nothing and left it up to the states to fend for themselves while he and his cronies profited off of a lot of inside information while a lot of people died due to him ignoring it and saying it wasn't deadly and only a couple of people had it.

The former 'president' did absolutely nothing to stop the spread and discouraged a lot of fucking morons from getting vaccinated and using masks and a lot of idiots died and a lot of decent people due to the idiots who followed the former 'presidents' 'advice'

The real numbers they hate are the truthful ones showing more deaths from covid under Traitor Joe than under Trump.

The vaccine wasn't available till December of 2020. One full year after the first cases were known ........kind of hard to get something that isn't there.

that's Trump's fault.

he should have anticipated a deadly virus from China and started work on the vaccine back in 2017.

There were recommendations.  The idiot left cried that closing the border and such measures were "racist".  I mean, it's not like Traitor Joe had done anything with a vaccination and more information.

And if I remember correctly, Traitor Joe's (in)action still resulted in far more deaths than his predecessor.  But let's keep with your little bit of fiction.

I don't think anybody could have predicted that Fauci would be dumb enough to fund gain of function research with the Chinese.

Didn't the feds just have to revise the jobs numbers significantly DOWNward?

Some 400K jobs LESS than originally reported?

And that most of the job "growth" under Traitor Joe is actually a return of those jobs lost due to covid?

So, what else can we expect from Nancy Pelosi?

Well, she allegedly increased her financial portfolio by 65% in FY2023 while other investors lost money.

Doesn't anyone remember when Bill Maher admitted that he hoped the American economy would crash so that President Donald Trump will be voted out of office?

Now the shoe is on the other foot and they cry.
