With a midterm election in 2022 shaping up to be a tough hill to climb for his Democratic Party, President Joe Biden was perhaps recalling fonder times when he mistakenly claimed it was 2020 on Tuesday.

Biden, 79, was speaking from the White House during a briefing on the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The oldest president ever elected was saying that a lot of good could happen in the coming year but that people would have to get vaccinated against the virus.

'There's a lot of reason to be hopeful in 2020. But for God's sake, please take advantage of what is available,' the president said. With 2022 just four days old, the president could be forgiven for getting the year wrong - but most people who do the same usually give the year before, and not the one two years prior.

Biden has been prone to gaffes and misspeaking throughout his decades-long political career. He has multiple times referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as 'President Harris'.

President Joe Biden accidentally stated that Americans have 'a lot of reason to be hopeful in 2020' in a televised Covid briefing from the White House Tuesday

'There's a lot of reason to be hopeful in 2020. But for God's sake, please take advantage of what is available,' the president said, promoting taking the coronavirus vaccine

Biden has been prone to gaffes and misspeaking throughout his decades-long political career

However, some polling and Biden's opponents have suggested that gaffes like these are a sign of his decline as he heads into his ninth decade of life.

Biden is America's oldest-ever president and even when running in 2020, former President Trump referred to Biden as 'mentally shot.

Last month, Biden mistakenly referred to Kamala Harris, his vice president, as 'President Harris' — repeating an error he made twice before.

Biden has said he will run for a second term in 2024, when he will be 82 years old.

Biden says he plans to run for a second term in 2024, but many Democrats don't believe it and polls find broad concern about his mental acuity.

Biden would be 86 if he completes a second term.

A recent Politico/Morning Consult poll said that 50 percent of registered voters disagreed with the following statement: 'Joe Biden is in good health.'

That same poll found 48 percent disagreed with the statement: 'Joe Biden is mentally fit.'

A Harvard-Harris poll found that 53 percent of voters have doubts about Biden's fitness for office, while 58 percent said he was too old to be president.

In a nutshell............

And the hits just keep on coming..........of his own volition

If he makes it to 2024, he can run again, but the democrats know that would be certain doom. He will be challenged....and not just mentally.

President Joe Biden accidentally stated that Americans have 'a lot of reason to be hopeful in 2020' in a televised Covid briefing from the White House Tuesday [04Jan2022] 'There's a lot of reason to be hopeful in 2020. But for God's sake, please take advantage of what is available,' the president said, promoting taking the coronavirus vaccine

Biden accidentally confused two very different pandemic years? Instead of incessantly prattling about vaccines that enrich Big Pharma's pockets, he needs to release the highly effective and inexpensive monoclonal antibody meds and other therapeutics that he is deliberately withholding from states.

He isn't withholding anything and those monoclonal antibody meds, etc., are very expensive.

Not necessarily.

Monoclonal antibody therapy  can prevent severe illness, hospitalization and death in high-risk patients who have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19. These treatments are widely available in Florida.
  • Treatment is free and vaccination status does not matter. If you are 12 years and older and are at high risk for severe illness due to COVID-19, you are eligible for this treatment.

Q: What is the cost of the monoclonal antibody
products to the patient?
A: Because the federal government has purchased
a supply of monoclonal antibody treatments,
there is no cost to the patient for the antibody
product itself. However, it is possible there may
be administration costs related to providing the
infusion. Many patients will bear no costs for
infusion administration.

Q: Is infusion administration covered by Medicare?
A: Yes. Medicare is covering costs for infusion
administration.

Q: Is infusion administration covered
by commercial insurance plans?
A: For patients covered under commercial
insurance plans, costs of infusion may vary,
but many large insurers are waiving all costs.

And that's only the tip of the scientific data about therapeutics. I didn't bother to post how inexpensive and effective therapeutic pills/tablets are.

The best thing to do is to get vaccinated and get boosters when it's time.  Rather than having to deal with monoclonal antibody meds., etc., AFTER THE FACT.

The best thing to do is to get vaccinated and get boosters when it's time.

Tell that to General Lloyd Austin, current US Secretary of Defense. He's fully vaccinated and boosted, always wore a "mask", and even wore a ridiculous plastic face shield for further protection. He's currently quarantined with Covid-19.

It's time for everyone to understand that a virulent virus cannot be defeated and killed.

And?

You'll have to give me more than a one word question. Please elaborate so I can understand what you are trying to ask me. Thank you.

Oh ... you added more ...

But he's not hospitalized and deathly ill, is he?  Proof that the vaccines and boosters work.

No one has ever said that vaccines and boosters do not work, Tessy. However, Candidate and President Biden emphatically stated and promised that he would rid us of Covid-19. He failed.

I sincerely wish you and yours a very happy and healthy 2022, Tessy.

Have any of the vaccine manufacturers claimed their vaccines were 100% effective? If not then pointing at the handful of Covid infected who did get vaccinated as if its some sort of evidence that we shouldn't bother getting vaccinated is beyond stupid, it's borderline insane.

I have no idea how anyone could have possibly extrapolated that my comment 5.1 was an indication that "we shouldn't bother getting vaccinated".  How droll!

Big pharma would like to thank you for pushing their "vaccines" that do not stop you from getting Covid, do not prevent you from transmitting Covid, and only may lower the effects of getting Covid. "Vaccines" that suffer more and more break through cases with each new variation of Covid.

Keep getting the shots, and boosters, the time between which will continue to decrease- and the effectiveness will continue to diminish. Big Pharma is telling the White House to make you.

People don’t want to get it. They want to pretend he did something completely inconceivable and outrageous, when what he actually did was pretty ordinary. Standard procedure.

Like misstating the year? I think I've typed 2021 instead of 2022 when typing up docs at least a handful of times in just the last few days but from the way conservatives reacted to Biden getting the year wrong you'd think it was some definitive proof he should be committed.

And besides, 'covfefe' sounds nothing like 'coverage' unless the person speaking is having a mild stroke.

If he had Biden's speech writer and read it off of a teleprompter like he is, sure. He himself, Mr. Biden, put together jack shit. Once again someone else is pulling the strings. Period. Just like every speech of every PotUS in the last 60 years

Mr. Biden, not so much it seems with great evidence to prove it. Why the hell do you think they keep him away from questioning after practically every damned presser he holds?

Lol - in a word, yes.  He had the biggest microphone on the planet.  The fact that he took it so callously and that you are fine with that speaks volumes.  That is precisely how he got infamous for the thousands of blatant lies he professed over twitter until they had enough and told him that’s not the way that their platform is to be used.

It does if you consider the first three letter. And the context makes sense.

But what it sounds like is irrelevant because it was typed in a tweet - I’m guessing big fingers on a small phone, so mistakes are more common. So maybe find out what you’re talking about before commenting.
