This isn't my opinion. These are the facts, as stated by Joe Biden's own administration.

Pete Buttigieg's first reaction to the train crash in East Palestine, Ohio, was to lie in an effort to cast the blame on someone else. He asserted that the crash had occurred because of a regulatory decision that occurred during the Trump administration. And his assertion was a lie.

NTSB Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy told the public in a series of tweets on Thursday that the board was doing everything in its power to figure out what went wrong in East Palestine, Ohio, and how to avoid any future derailments.
Homendy highlighted an argument about the type of brakes the train supposedly would have had if the Department of Transportation wouldn't have withdrawn a rule under then-President Donald Trump. Current Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has pointed to that rule, saying it has constrained him and his department.
However, Homendy pointed out that regardless of whether the rule was in effect or not, the train traveling through East Palestine that derailed on Feb. 3 wouldn't have had the brakes.

The only question now is, why does the Biden administration tolerate a cabinet secretary who deliberately spreads disinformation on social media? Should the NTSB have to debunk falsehoods from the actual transportation secretary? No, of course not.

Buttigieg is incompetent and dishonest. He needs to be fired yesterday.

Its all about controlling the initial narrative that gains all the attention, which is always Trump Trump Trump.

The corrections that come later rarely get any traction.

When the guy who wrote this article publicly tells Trump to get the fuck out of American politics and dont let the door hit you on the ass on your  way out , I will pay a little attention to what he says. Not a moment sooner.  The same goes for the rest of you who say you will vote for Trump as the "lesser of two evils".  He is soon to be indicted for multiple crimes related to trying to overthrow our government and you people are still considering voting for him.

Until then I dont give a rats ass about Buttigieg.

Before opening his mouth and blaming Trump, Buttigieg needed to do his Infrastructure homework:  Did this chemical catastrophe occur due to brake malfunction or axles and rails in disrepair?

Mayor Pete is just another inept lackey who fits the diversity boxes of the Biden Administration and blames everyone but himself. He's not the first and won't be the last.

Buttigieg is only following the Biden administration playbook.  Offer thoughts and prayers, cast blame, feed litigation, seek criminal charges, and call for more regulation.  Buttigieg isn't actually doing anything.

Trump didn't cause the derailment.  And Trump can't do anything about it because Biden is President.  Biden wanted the title but apparently Biden didn't want the job.

I'm sure that at one time in his life he was cognizant enough to know that he wanted the title and job, but since he's called Harris the POTUS at least 5 times in the past 2 years, it's obvious that he doesn't even know that he now has the title and job.

Get rid of him, but we need to seriously look at our rail infrastructure for multiple reasons.

Get rid of him, but we need to seriously look at our rail infrastructure for multiple reasons.

What does infrastructure have to do with anything?  Independent reports points to a bad wheel bearing on one of the rail cars.  The wheel bearing likely overheated and welded itself so the wheel couldn't turn.  The derailment wasn't caused by a problem with the roadbed.  And it appears the derailment wasn't caused by brakes, either.

Sorry, the rail owns, operates, and is responsible for the upkeep and expansion of the tracks.

Now if the government wants to declare imminent domain and allow the rail to make the necessary improvements without the state, local, and EPA having a say- I am sure the upgrades would be done. Derailments like this one cost the rail line a ton of money and bad publicity. Good luck to anyone agreeing to it. NIMBY's are everywhere.

Look at all the problems California is having getting their high speed rail even started.

Back in 2008, California voters approved about $10 billion in bond funds to partially finance a HSR system that would stretch across the state, from the south to north, and from the valleys to the coast, promising travel from San Francisco to Los Angeles in just two and one-half hours, with trains traveling at 220 miles per hour. The system was to be operational by 2020, for a cost of about $34 billion. Too date, the cost has escalated to about $105 billion, just for the 520-mile Los Angeles–San Francisco leg. And now that we are in 2022, the only certainty is that costs that will rise further, and that a completion date—“completion” meaning whatever bits and pieces of the system ultimately are finished—will stretch further into the future. What happened? A better question is, What didn’t happen? It begins with gross mismanagement and continues with a long list of blunders, one after another, each one bigger than the last. This includes building on land that had never been acquired; starting construction on routes that may never be built; choosing one contractor with faulty plans and paying hundreds of millions in cost overruns for their miscalculations; relying on politically savvy railway consultants who funded much of the 2008 bond campaign, and who have been responsible for nearly all planning, management, and oversight; facing a veritable mountain of lawsuits, filed by plaintiffs ranging from the Burbank-Hollywood airport and the Northern California city of Millbrae to private citizens who woke up one day to find their land being dug up without their knowledge. The list goes on, but you get the picture.

Florida's high speed rail manage to get completed; but it is a danger.
