Benghazi Attack: Why didn't the President take action. What action?
1. Grabbed his Pilot jumped on Air force One?
2. Directed the rescue attempt from the situation room?
3. Told the Generals what to do?
There is nothing the president could do he had not already done. The president told them to take what action that was needed. Atthat point the Generals had to do their job.
The Generals had control of all the resources the attack was under way. Jumping into a fire fight by parachute is certain death.
Had president Obama told the generals what to do or called them every 20 or 30 minutes the questions would be you told them to take all the actions that were necessary why did you keep calling and not let them do their job.
Now Republican Congressmen look like fools. They askthe samequestions over and over like mentally deficient idiots. There was nothing the President could do over and above what he did.
How about doing something constructive in the House and the Senate. TheCongress makes the Budget. TheCongress spends the money. They can balance the budget cut the military budget back drastically not in maintenance not in Security but in Procurements. Buy less military contracts have cost assigned for 10 or 25 or 100 or 500 or more of something. The B1A production was stopped I was there.
It can be done.
Can we bring the dead back to life in Benghazi? No! So Congress provide the money and manpower to better protect our ambassadors and their familys and staff. Remember CongressContracts, Congress funds andCongress spends not the President.

I am quite sure if the person in command of the post finds their security weak and lives at riskhe or she has the authority and in fact the responsibilityto get the personel out.Sometimes by the time you know you are in dire risk its to late. These are top Generals Career men with probably50 to 60 or more years experience. I am amazed at your knowledge of the details after the fact and you had a good line on the depth of the assets they were up against. Even the weapons delivered the day before.
